Len winced as she pulled away from the struggling human, taking an unnecessary breath. She could have gone three hours, drinking blood and not have even looked up. But the woman that pushed at her shoulders had something sour tainting her blood. Grasping the woman’s chin, she made quick work of making her forget that she’d even been attacked. Turning, she left the woman confused in the alleyway. The sounds of the French Quarter grew louder the further she got away from the drugged woman. Perhaps she’d be able to find another meal easily. Stepping out into the crowd, she found herself tumbling forward as she knocked into someone in her haste. “Shit, walk much?” the blonde hissed, glancing back at her attacker.
