live theatre will always be better than cinema
in 2022, i went to see robert eggers's the northman at the cinema. it was kind of a slog but i was greatly cheered to learn that the climax would be a naked fight to the death between amleth and fjölnir, in the crater of an active volcano no less, and decided that no film could be all that bad if it afforded me the opportunity to see claes bang's dick. as the fight drew on, my need to see claes bang's dick grew and grew until it became all-consuming, but this scene was so beautifully and artistically shot that i could see nothing at all, and i left the film in a stone-cold fury
and then literally - LITERALLY-literally - the very next day i went to the almeida theatre to see jeremy o harris's daddy: a melodrama; i do not remember the plot but i do remember that claes bang was in it and that he got his dick out LIVE ON STAGE for ALL TO SEE
and thus will live theatre ever be superior to cinema
