i've heard people say "it's all greek to me" & "you might as well have been teaching me greek" when confronted with something difficult for them to understand or otherwise incomprehensible. when a greek speaker sees something that they can't understand/comprehend, do they say "it's all english to me" or "you might as well have been teaching me english" because english is a notoriously hard language to learn?
