I’m in Australia and in the middle of the night I had a night terror. I won’t go into detail about it but at the time I was really freaked out about it.

I couldn’t go back to sleep because again, really freaked out, so I decided to go on discord only to find out this was the one night my other Aussie friends didn’t pull an all nighter gaming.

But here’s the thing, my American (and one British) friends were wide awake. I asked if we could vc and explained to them the situation and two of them jumped onto VC immediately to comfort me. We talked for about an hour until I fell asleep but the two of them kept me on the voice chat a little bit longer just to make sure I was truly calm and asleep. They did say I talked in my sleep but nothing too embarrassing.

I’m getting the image of a teenager having to act older than he is when he has to beat people up and act stern or mean. But, he always managed to follow his sense of morality however he can, which shows in how he found his team and how the community trusts him.

It’s all because he’s the most self-sacrificial person ever, whether if it’s him being the first person to offer his life when his team is in danger or if it’s him deciding to stay with his dad to comfort him after the divorce.

I’ve always wanted these parts of him to be addressed because even though he is Mother(tm), he also deserves to be the Babygirl(tm) who gets pampered. Lord knows he needs a fucking break from being a single parent skfjsjjf (lock in, Abbacchio)

That’s Louis Rossman, a repair technician and YouTuber, who went viral recently for railing against Apple. Apple purposely charges a lot for repairs and you either have to pay up or buy a new device. That’s because Apple withholds necessary tools and information from outside repair shops. And to think, we were just so close to change.

So I asked the internet, well how hard IS it to repair? And I saw this guy’s video, and while I am no techie, I AM fueled by spite, so I was all “oh, they do that shit on purpose specifically so they can charge me $1200 bucks or make me buy a new computer hunh? FUCK THEM” and I bought all the tools I needed for about $25 and I bought all the parts I needed for about another $25 and I watched a few tutorial videos, and I replaced my own keyboard.

So, once you are doing the actual deed, it becomes pretty obvious that they are finding creative ways to make this much harder than it has to be on purpose. On thing that stood out to me is, instead of all the tiny screws being the same size, there are about two dozen very slightly different sizes. They could easily be all the same size, or like, two sizes at most, but no.

These mother fuckers will take a panel that screws into place and they’ll use a different size screw for each corner. They are so close that you almost cannot tell them apart visually, but they each will only screw into the matching corner. Like, it’s a pretty clear “fuck you” to anyone trying to do repairs.

Writing long fics and having to deal with so much at once is hard. So have some stuff about Formaghia but it’s the both of them having this brotherly dynamic. This is inspired by how in 2 plushie releases for Golden Wind characters including La Squadra, both Ghiaccio and Formaggio can be found in the same volume.

Hence why I had placed them months apart in the same age year. Including how they wear striped pants, had the strongest reactions to Sorbet and Gelatos deaths and an actual bit of food knowledge I know when making this joke-

Ghiaccio: THAT MAKES NO SENSE! We can’t even be twins if it was genetically possible because it’s not! You’re named after cheese and my name is literally ICE! One’s part of dairy production and the other is a state of temperature!

Tyty!!! It was honestly really fun to learn stuff I didn’t know before via Sorbet, especially since I haven’t really seen anyone approach his hypothesized Frenchness from the angle I took it.

I did do more research though out of respect, and I’d like to correct myself on this reblog~ (I’m just a little lazy to edit the post itself because I’m tired and have chronic pain skfjsnf)

Based on my more detailed research this time, the Sinti and Manouche consider themselves unique groups from one another (as there are five main groups of Romani people). Specifically, the Sinti are in the area between France and Italy known as Piedmont, and the Manouche are mostly in France (though some are also in Northern Italy alongside the Sinti).

Since this theory revolves around Sorbet being from France, he would be Manouche rather than Sinti.

As for the language, I initially could only find “Sinti-Manouche” as one of the Romani languages used in France without further detail (Wikipedia should update this).

Since Wikipedia grouped up “Sinti-Manouche” into one language (and one group of people) that was used in both France and Italy, I assumed it was a valid language option.

This time, I researched more among online Romani forums, and from what I understood, Sinti and Manouche are considered separate dialects with Manouche having heavy influence from French.

So with all of that explained, my self-correction is that Sorbet would’ve known Manouche if he was born in France ^^

It’s a late night for me right now so I’m not gonna organize this analysis like I usually do. I’m just gonna spitball.

I was wondering about why Sorbet was cut up into specifically 36 pieces.

There’s usually a specific reason to use certain numbers, especially with a creative and detailed author like Araki. So it occurred to me that 36 is related to 4, which is significant in Golden Wind.

And I might as well talk more about my thoughts on 4 in Golden Wind specifically. Generally for Japan, China, and Korea, the word for the number 4 sounds similar to the word for death, which makes it considered an unlucky number. Despite this superstition being only relevant in East Asian culture, the connection between 4 and death seems to be relevant throughout Golden Wind (as driven by Mista’s fear of four) even though there’s not really an Italian superstition about 4. Instead, the meta-narrative is that the 4th Major Arcana of a tarot deck is The Emperor. In other words, 4 represents King Crimson.

So with that out of the way, how are 36 and 4 related? It’s pretty simple if I’m reading this correctly. 4 multiplied by 9 is 36.

When Sorbet and Gelato were still alive, there were a total of 9 members in La Squadra Esecuzione. So with Sorbet being the first one to die, being cut up into 36 pieces marks each member of La Squadra with the number 4, both a symbol of death and domination by The Emperor/King Crimson.
