Like he clearly went to greath lengths to learn how to speak eloquently to compensate for receiving a less than stellar education growing up, and it was most definitely necessary for any position they wanted to hold on the local council (and obviously being seen as capable and competent to other people is important to him). I can very easily imagine him specifically studying how the people around him talked and popular literature in Moffa to expand his vocabulary. he gets teased for it a lot but it makes sense that he wouldn't want to give anyone a single reason to dismiss him.

what i think is not okay is to say that you will send your people after repeat offenders. sending people to basically witch-hunt others is not okay. threatening your fans as a way to make them follow your boundaries is not a good way to handle this. you should never threaten your fans to start with.

you cannot control everything your fans do, especially if you have a lot of them. i’ve been in enough fandoms to know that people will do stuff anyways no matter what is said. you cannot control what others do, but you can control what you see of it. block tags, people, don’t visit sites where shipping often happens, pretend it does not exist. there are so many things you can do to avoid seeing things you don’t want to. you are not being forced to see any of it.

yes, people violating your boundaries is uncomfortable. i know i would be. but you should not be saying you will send people after others. i have seen people saying that this could’ve been a joke, but i believe this is something you shouldn’t joke about. harassment is a very common thing in mcyt communities. people will harass others over things that do not violate boundaries just because they don’t like something. saying you will send people after others who you deem “repeat offenders” only encourages others to go after people themselves.

i think there are better ways this could’ve been said. this very well could’ve been a case of horrible wording, but i think clarification is needed that you will not harass others. harassment is never okay. witch-hunting people is never okay. sending people to go after others is never okay.
