What gets me about taylor swifts wedding ok is she has all the money and influence in the world to rent out an actual castle and decorate it all fairy-tale esque(somewhere remote where she'll have the privacy she wants and not have to shut down an entire city too) but she still chose to build a castle inside Madison Square Garden. She chose the simulacra which is really interesting like does she not know she's rich now? No I think she's very aware of that. Is it because she's sentimental about NYC and MSG? This makes sense as it's a place she's performed and her sports boy hubbie probably has connections here and we know how she feels about NYC. In which case I still just don't get it like is that little bit of sentimentality truly worth all the hassle? Is it a flex to demonstrate her symbolic place as the American Queen? Is it just that she doesn't care how her actions affect other people? Does she think she successfully greenwashed it by donating 26m and throwing some pastries at the peasants outside?

This post got way off the handle but my point is why would you want to get married in a backrooms version of a fairytale castle when you could just go to any European castle and they'd probably bend over backwards to host you and meet your every whim why are you so.... tacky. Bad taste
