i do agree with you about Circe didn't give her enough time to develop to her own and her with Rex feel rushed and underdeveloped.
i do think she does look pretty tho.
for Charmcaster i also agree but not for the reason you mention. in UAF She went through Some Arc that changed her make some of a Redemption arc. a lot fans were attached to her being a tragic character but i also think they found her hella hot.
OV Changed it make her more like her classic self which Divided the fandom.
the people who got attached to her overly attached to her to a point they blame hex about all her bad deeds making them really aggressive to anyone who think differently
then there people who never though charmcaster was worth redemption arc.
i more in the middle i think she can go through redemption arc but also that we shouldn't be blinded to her actions i would done in the way ink Tank did in their and beyond series.

Circe is a character that I believe could have had an easy fix if we just got to know more about her outside of Rex. Which is something I explore a lot of in my own rewrite of her.
Charmcaster is indeed a whole bag of whys and hows in terms of her hate and defences. There is a lot to go into with her and why she does and doesn’t work with the way she’s presented. I wouldn’t even call OV a return to form because she’s more treated like a crazy lady to poke fun of compared to OS, where she was a little more grounded and played a more classic mythology trickster type, fully aware.
She’s a different character in every version of the show, worse than some of the other characters that get this same problem.
There is indeed the issue of some defending her because she’s pretty, trust me I am fully aware of that issue in fandoms. Either a character is attractive or people just like their vibe and feel like that means they have to defend them to the end of time. It’s bizarre to me. But there are legitimate points in Charmcaster’s favour too.
I can easily see a redemption arc story for her, she has a lot of set up that can work, but it also does require her (and her hardcore fans) to acknowledge her mistakes, wrong doings, and actively change. One simple sorry isn’t enough, and no amount of crying about your sad backstory isn’t good either.
Though it is also good to acknowledge that Hex wronged her and is a villain in her story too.
Heck, even if the show didn’t want to do a redemption story they could make it work by being a tragic fail of a redemption. If you want to keep her as a villain, you could make her a sad reflection of those who fail to change. The point is that there are many ways you could take Charmcaster’s story and make her work, but that isn’t what the series did.
So I can see why the fandom wants to give her more, I just think it requires some to be a bit more understanding of the fact that Charmcaster still did a lot of bad things that need to be acknowledged, even if she’s someone’s favourite character.

I actually agree with this....but I also get why others don't see it that way.
It's because the show never does that. Ever.
Not with Kevin, not with the Highbreed, not with Hex, not with Argit, etc.
It redeems villains quickly and sweeps all their crimes under the rug. One simply 'sorry' or crying about their sad backstories IS, in fact, good enough. It shouldn't be, but it is. -_-
