This photo always cheers me up a bit. It’s a front-page article from 1955 about Christine Jorgensen, one of the first women to have sex-reassignment surgery.
Since the text is a bit small and I couldn’t find a larger copy, here’s what the small blurb says:
A World of a Difference
George W. Jorgensen, Jr., son of a Bronx carpenter, served in the Army for two years and was given honorable discharge in 1946. Now George is no more. After six operations, Jorgensen’s sex has been changed and today she is a striking woman, working as a photographer in Denmark. Parents were informed of the big change in a letter Christine (that’s her new name) sent to them recently.
This article is 58 years old, and it’s more respectful of Christine’s pronoun choices and name than some publications are today. It makes me happy to see a newspaper be respectful of a trans person’s choice of name and pronouns like that :3
Say it again for the haters in the back who want to keep pretending that trans people, or even treating trans people with respect is even remotely anything new. 😎
Trans tip #63
Carry around a squirt bottle and spray everyone who misgenders you. Seems to get much quicker results

Living dfab in the US, how does one go about getting testosterone? How old do you have to be? Do you ask a doctor??
Same as with amab individuals from my understanding. Without parental consent you will have to be 18. If you live in a state without informed consent you will first have to get a letter from a psychological professional (a gate keeper). Then you will have to make an appointment with either an endocrinologist, a place like planned parenthood, or at some other clinic that is LGBT friendly. Once you have your appointment, there will be the general discussion of your health, like if you smoke, how often you drink, have sex, get tested for STI’s and such. Then blood work, and a month or so later they should begin HRT. (results may vary)

How to be a little shit pt. 1
I want intimacy. No that does not mean I necessarily want sex. I just want your body against mine. I want your touch. I want nothing holding us back…. Not the dysphoria that comes with it.

How to be a supportive partner to a trans guy:
These are things my girlfriend does that make me feel a little better so.
1. When they are feeling strong dysphoria, call them handsome, or talk about how they will have the body they want to in the future.Â
2. Let them brag about you to their friends(not in a sexual way). I love talking to my friends about great my girlfriend is.Â
3. When they are on their monthly cycle, tell them it doesn’t make them any less of a man. A lot of guys get them, and make sure they know that.
4. When they talk about how they are scared about certain things in the future, make sure they know they can do it and there will be people who believe them.
5. Please don’t get mad if they need time to themselves.Â
6. Make sure they know you support them in the decisions they make.Â
7. If you draw them, draw them the way they want to look. (i know that may be obvious but it always feels nice so)
There are a lot more, but i can’t think of them so yeah.
To all transguys,
Who’s one hell of a charming fucker? You are. Who’s a good looking, handsome guy? You are. Don’t let any motherfucker tell you otherwise, you handsome son of a bitch.

when you don’t wear a binder for a few days but then you need to leave the house and *pterodactyl screeching*
There are some points in time when I just feel so true to my identity it amazes me. It's this weird kind of trance where I fit completely in with the rest of the guys for a moment. And then I get to the moment after that when I either let this thought gleam true, or accidentally take myself out of it by getting fussy over if I'm sitting right or some crap like that. But those moments when I catch myself completely fitting in...it just gives me hope for my future.
