Sandwiches

This is a bit unspectacular since it's pretty much just a ham and brie sandwich, BUT I tried to shake things up a bit with a garlic and Dijon mustard mayonnaise. Overall a very easy sandwich to make :D By the way, I have to point out the amount of Frenchness in this sandwich, I mean Brie is a French cheese (this particular one is made in Québec), and I actually purchased the Dijon mustard in Dijon, France.....and Black Forest ham.....well, the Black Forest does border France...and the borders have shifted....so...it's sort of French...and the bread...well they make bread in France, so therefore the bread is connected to France....Bam. Logic.

So Toronto just had a massive ice storm and I had no power for a few days, so as soon as the power came back on I made this delicious breakfast sandwich with leftover Mediterranean pizza ingredients….I know that sounds gross, but it’s probably my new favorite :D It’s an egg sandwich topped with sun dried tomatoes, goat cheese, and pesto sauce. Yummy!!

This sandwich is pretty basic. It consists of lettuce, leftover roast beef, Swiss cheese, and horse radish sauce mixed with mayonnaise, a tad of white vinegar, and a pinch of salt, all combined on a roasted bagel. You could totally add more veggies like tomatoes or peppers, but I was just too lazy/I'm a bit anti vegetable... Overall a very tasty sandwich that is easy to prepare!

This guy is 100% vegetarian, and although I usually like some meat in my sandwiches this one was actually quite good!! Inside this sandwich are sun dries tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, and a sauce made from Dijon mustard mixed with the oil from the jar of sun dried tomatoes.

Took me nearly half an hour to assemble this delicious monstrosity, but it was 100% worth it! This sandwich of the gods is known as the Croque Madame among us mere mortals. The inside consists of a few slices of ham, Dijon mustard, béchamel sauce with gruyere (I used Swiss) cheese melted in, and more cheese on top. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! The entire thing is topped with more cheese infused béchamel sauce, which, along with the whole sandwich, is broiled till golden, THEN topped with a sunny side up egg. (Hungry yet?) WARNING: this sandwich was so filling nearly killed me! I had to do like 300 sit ups to make up for eating this!

Grilled cheese made with sautéed onions and Swiss cheese, AND sour cream seasoned with paprika and a pinch of salt on the side for dipping ...I got lazy the pasta salad, which is from Costco (at least I'm honest!)
