Genderfluid Pathfinder HCs

Pathfinder hadn’t put to much thought into the concept gender till a reporter for the games asked why he used “human” pronouns

Immediately after he went to Mirage, full of questions. The first one being “do I have a gender?” Followed by “what is it?” He was left stumped when Mirage told him only Path could figure that out.

Oh boy did Path do some research. Every legend was asked very many details about what gender was and how they knew to identify.

It was Bloodhound that suggested the idea of being genderfluid to Path. Up until that point Path wasn’t aware that was an option and grew very excited, immediately announcing to everyone that he had solved his problem.

Path changes the background colour of the screen so people know what pronouns he wants to go by at that moment. There’s also a groupchat with all of the legends where Path will declare every morning an update in all capital letters and emojis

No one had seen Path as happy as the day she was invited to girls night and was estatic to try different sleepover “rituals”. Ajay ended up painting the metal on her hands around the nail. The paint stayed on for two weeks

There’s always people who try to tell Path that a robot can’t have a gender only these comments never make it to Path as all the legends defend them without hesitation

Never in a million years did Bloodhound see themselves falling for another legend. Much less a robotic one. Yet here they were.

Somehow Pathfinder was always in their thoughts. The way his screen lit up when he saw them, the excitement in his voice when he said good job, how he was capable of showing all sorts of emotions, how he could listen to them for hours on end, providing only support. Path was more than any human than some of the others in the games.

Path, as always, was blissfully unaware that Hound had a crush on him, despite how flustered they would get when his screen would display heart eyes everytime he saw them. He had just assumed that no one felt romantic feelings towards him. So when Hound stood on their tiptoes to give his optic receptors a quick smooch after they won a match together, he nearly overheated

Their first official date was in the woods of Talos. Bloodhound had found a waterfall they knew Pathfinder would love and proceeded to set up a cozy blanket and a few candles

Path is not overly protective. He is well aware Bloodhound is very capable to defend themselves. Hound on the other hand knows this about Path as well, but that doesn’t stop them from sending glares at anyone who even thinks to look at Path the wrong way.

Pathfinder always goes to his best friend Mirage if he ever needs any relationship advice. This has lead to Mirage being slightly terrified of Bloodhound becuase he knows they know that he knows intimate details about their relationship since Path doesn’t really know how to shut up and has many questions about, well you know

This has lead to Bloodhound also going to Mirage for the occasional bit of advice. They always drag him shopping for presents to make sure they can pick out a gift that Pathfinder will love
