summary: Fred Weasley isn’t ashamed to admit that he had a teddy bear as a kid and he isn’t ashamed to say that after the war, he needs his trusty pal again.

a/n: Im so excited for this one!! I havent been inspired for a while to write but this had me super excited! I love this fic so much. This is dedicated to all my homies who have a stuffed animal or a blanket still. 

warnings: mentions of the war, anxiety, slight mention of the hospital, Fred lives! mentions of injury, nightmares.

Ask anyone about who Fred Weasley’s best friend was and they would answer his twin brother George every time. Occasionally someone would answer Lee Jordan but everyone knew that Fred and George were practically inseparable. As Fred who is best friend was and he would probably answer George. 

But you ask George and he’ll smirk and look over at Fred before answering Sir Snuggles. Sir snuggles being Fred’s childhood teddy bear. 

For their 4th birthdays, Molly and Arthur found two bears at a second hand shop out in Ottery St. catchpole. George’s was a cream colored bear with a brown bow around its neck. 

Fred’s on the other hand was a brown bear with black marble eyes. He was soft and felt so warm that Fred fell in love in an instant. He quickly dubbed his teddy Sir Snuggles and carried him everywhere with him. It became a way to tell the two apart as Fred would like to carry snuggles around constantly. 

Bringing him to meals and playing with him outside with George and his bear who he dubbed Mr. Wuzzy. For the next few years whenever Fred needed a source of comfort, Sir Snuggles was always there. 

He remembers once as a kid he was too rough with him.
