WHO ARE YOU?

“What? No! No, you didn’t nothing’s your fault why…I’m not doing anything I always kind of um stutter and all.”

It wasn’t exactly an idea answer but it did feel better than admitting it was especially prominent when he was most nervous because the she’d probably ask why he was nervous and he didn’t have a good answer for that at all. At any rate the most important part is not letting her get mad at him because she thought he was accusing or blaming her for something.

“Oh, shit, is this the kind of thing you aren’t supposed to point out?”

Social situations were not exactly her best, even if she seemed to be pretty happy to talk to people. It was more of the learning to be normal that she liked, getting to the part where people were happy and smiled at her. It was probably one of the best parts about this place, the little snippets of people being nice to her.

“Okay,” she said as a smile replaced her once confused expression. “Really? That’s super awesome! I like the blue, it suits you.” Misty would be lying if she said she hadn’t tried colored contacts before but, they just made her dark brown ones look just a tad bit lighter. Plus, she had grown to love the color of her eyes. 

“So are you going on the field trip next Friday?” Misty asked after a moment of silence. “I go to the art museum a lot but I won’t pass up the chance to go with the school,” she grinned, already getting excited at the thought of just going in the first place. 

The compliment does catch her a little bit off guard, she still isn’t completely used to how simply nice Misty is, but she still acts cool all the same. “Well thank you, I do try my best.” Though there is a slight extra pink color too her cheeks, there’s no way that she just can’t be cool about this all.
