Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington have broken from the links of metal for a while now. The only thing is what's next for the former king and freak of Hawkins, Indiana. Only time will tell. But the clock is ticking for everyone and eventually the clock will have to stop ticking.
or A retelling of Stranger Things Season 4 where Robin and Eddie are making different decisions and trying their best. With the help of their protective parents, a single mom, the town sheriff, a group of nerdy kids, a journalist, a photographer, a cheerleader, and a boy with pretty hair.
“Why do they all have bangs?” Steve asks about half way through, gnawing on a Twizzler.
“I-I don’t know.” Robin answers honestly, noticing for the first time.
“Have you noticed that Chrissy has now joined our band of the bang club.” Eddie points out, “Almost everyone we know has bangs.”
Steve hums looking around. Even El was matching with the rest of the Byer clan. Eddie noticed him noticing everyone else's hair.
“Please don’t get bangs. Even with your perfectly square head you’d look like a Beatle.” Eddie whispers, making Steve scoff using the blanket over them to take his hand along with his arm that’s already behind his shoulders.
“Never, that's your specialty. We’re opposites of what makes us look good.” Eddie snorts.
“Which Beatles though?” Steve whispers and Eddie’s eyebrows inched upward thinking to himself. Then he sharply turned to Steve.
Steve’s lips lined up with a bit of about.
“Alright I’m down with that.” Steve settled himself deeper into the cushion reaching for a Twizzler catching Will’s eyes in front of the TV. Steve’s breath hitched letting a bit of space between them, obviously they had let themselves get too comfortable.
“You okay?” Eddie asks and Steve nods.
“Yeah, just, were any of the other kids coming over?”
“Mike and Nancy no, Lucas no, Dustin no, and Max said she’d be here by 8.” El summarizes tugging at the band of her watch. She stands up and walks to the phone dialing the numbers.
“Is she taking her bike? We could pick her up.” Steve suggests and Eddie nods downing the rest of his Coke.
“She is not answering.” El announces going to her room to retrieve her walkie and shaking her head, calling El by her code name.
“Maybe they finished dinner and she’s just tired.” Joyce suggests and Robin and Eddie share a look.
“Max doesn’t lie.” El says as she hands the phone to Will who gets up to punch in her house’s number again.
“She would have said something.” Will murmurs wiping his hand on his khakis.
“Should we drive over?” Jonathan says, unwrapping himself from his blanket.
“Maybe. No answer.” Will says nervously.
Steve sighs and gets up to retrieve his shoes, Knight rising from Wayne’s feet.
“Hey girl, it's okay. I’m coming back” He says to Knight who stays where she is.
“Well I’m not waiting. Let’s go.” Steve nods to everyone awake.
