Kaeya: "Oh what? How'd I get to Teyvat if the nation was kicked out? Don't worry about it— and yeah so now there's this ancient plot that involves me and I constantly agonized over the decision to let thousands of years worth of souls and history to just die or to betray the nation that holds everything dear to me. It's a total bummer on my mental health really hence why I'm here.

She paired them up once to help her and not only do they work extraordinarily (and shockingly) well together, it was also the most entertaining party she had gathered yet. And it's with two of her favourite(ish) people. (She tolerates them. Got close because they're also unconventional)

She has never seen Childe this enthusiastic about something outside of battle and she has never seen Kaeya this openly annoyed at... Anyone, to be honest.
