So idk why but I’m reading Babel rn and I’m on page 100 where Griffin explains why Babel is bad for hoarding silver bars(?) and the way I understood is is that Griffin thinks it’s unjust for Britain to have most of the world’s silver bars when you need other languages to make them work. But I don’t understand how this is unjust? Am I missing something? I get that they’re using the bars to invade other countries and all but I feel like if the bars are used as weapons it’s perfectly understandable why Britain doesn’t wanna give them away and I also don’t understand why the other countries don’t just mine their own silver and make their own bars and why Britain must hive them bars? What am I missing?

Does anyone else get this weird feeling of stillness during summer? I got no responsibilities and I stop seeing my friend every day. At first it’s okay but then it just feels empty. I get bored and kinda lonely(?) Not really lonely but like I’m missing out(?) But not really that either. Like I’m living inside my head in my own world separated from everyone else. Is it just me? I’ve always hated summers because of this feeling. It’s such a weird feeling. Like you’re an NPC in a school video game that stops existing once the school year is over. Like I’m just a side character. This summer however I’ll try to stop this feeling by studying Chinese, reading and going to the gym but I don’t know if these will work.
