Montaña Mágica Lodge

Deep in southern Chile lies the Montaña Mágica Lodge (Magic Mountain Lodge). An extraordinary hotel hidden in the center of a 300,000 acre private nature reserve. The small, 13 room hotel is built in the shape of a volcano that spews water instead of lava. The exterior is covered in rainforest moss and vines and its entrance is only accessible via a suspended, swinging rope bridge. The outdoor hot tubs are carved from the trunks of giant trees. The lodge is located in Los Rios which is within the stunning Huilo-Huilo Unesco biosphere reserve, 242 square miles of lush nature, filled with wildlife.

Ugh… this just serves to remind me that I haven’t had a vacation in a very long time…

I’ve often wondered what it was about me, personally, that drew me to become a Dominant. I thought that I fetishized being in control, because for so much of my life I wasn’t in control. I thought that it was the result of my situation, not a factor outside of it. For the entirety of my time in school, I was at the mercy of the people around me, their opinions of me. How they intentionally excluded me and talked down to me, like I was some how a lesser being to them. All I wanted was to be liked, and to be accepted. But they just treated me like crap for no reason.

I eventually left school around when I was 12. I started getting home schooled. So things got better. I found that i really had just been going to school with horrible little sand demons, and that I wasnt the problem.

I considered that was the source of my dominant fire, but I realized that it was simply a situation I was in. Though it shaped my outlook on life, that dominant spark was always there. I avoided confrontation like the plague. But I hated being pushed around. I hated getting ordered to do -anything-.

Man this has really turned into a ramble.

I came to understand. Dominance is who I am, and that it has been with me since I was a wee lad. It takes its shape everywhere. How I approach problems, how I resolve conflict. Something as simple as making eye contact with people. More obviously, how I treat and nurture my submissive. How I guide her, and help her to become who she wants to be. Because she relies on me to give her that extra crack of the whip.

And what a satisfying crack it is.

The Force Awakens trailer confirmed for this weekend, November 28-30 at select North American theaters.

Regal Theaters posted the above, confirming they would be showing the trailer at those few locations in front of every movie this Thanksgiving weekend. The total number of theaters is expected to grow to about 100.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of this release plan as you’re out of luck if you don’t live near one of those theaters or if, you know, you don’t live in North America. I’m sure the trailer will be released online officially shortly after (probably Monday, December 1) and there undoubtedly will be a bootleg version on YouTube this weekend But still, it makes it harder for fans to see the trailer than if it was attached to a single movie, like the Hunger Games or the Hobbit.

I luckily live in a relatively large US city so I’m confident a theater near me will have the trailer. But I’d be so annoyed if that wasn’t the case. And I’m annoyed for the fans who won’t get to see it this weekend.

But putting aside my dislike of this plan, it does mean we’ll have a trailer on FRIDAY! So by this time next week, I’m sure there already will be screencaps, gifs, edits, etc. And that is very exciting!
