Before I stepped on the scale on Monday I already guessed what number I would see, and my guess was correct. 86,3 kg. In other words, I have not only gone from overweight to obese, but I’m moving towards morbid obesity.
The number did not surprise me because my body has been so tight lately from all the constant overeating and overconsumption of ultra processed foods.
I knew I had to get back on track, but I felt (and still feel) weak and helpless. So I prayed. I prayed and surrendered over and over.
It’s only Wednesday, but I have not exceeded my daily caloric goal of 1600 kcal. I have not had any candy or unhealthy snack. When I weighed myself this morning I was at 83,1 kg. My body does not feel tight and uncomfortable anymore. I dont feel like my skin is being stretched anymore. I feel full and content after every meal (though there is that tendency to want to eat more).
I know that you’re not supposed to weigh yourself everyday, but I do sometimes just out of curiosity. It’s nice to see that my body is going back to normal slowly but surely.

I was on the treadmill for just about an hour and burned about 300 kcal. Imagine that the sweat and exhaustion does not even kill a chocolate bar! 🥵 bro, the sweets aren’t worth it.
A little tip: sharing is caring!
Instead of buying sweets and snacks just for yourself, buy one thing that you like and then share it with someone. That way you’re eating less and you’re building relationships.

I’ve found that (constant prayer and) weighing out my food is the only thing that works.
I’m about to enjoy and nice big bowl of hot oatmeal with milk and salted peanuts, and it has 206 kcal in it. I was surprised! But that’s the thing; I have to weigh things out and calculate (ie put it into an app).
It’s much more satisfying to eat a good, filling meal, knowing that it’s within my caloric range, rather than refusing to weigh stuff out and just hoping that what I’m eating is alright and then ending up bloated and uncomfortable afterwards…. And also wondering why the scale is up.
Reasons why I’m still fat:
It’s not a plateau nor is it a slowed down metabolism. It’s poor food choices and just being sloppy with calorie counting.

I deleted the food delivery app because I deserve better.
It’s better for me to cook my own food myself.

So, it happened. I binged. I ate my feelings and then I ate a little more.
Tomorrow is a new day.
I threw away all of my sweets into the garbage. I’m starting all over again. Here’s to not giving up!
I’ve been so lazy lately. Eating around 2000 kcal on average. The weight is still coming off, but at a much slower rate, which is understandable. I just don’t want to cut again because I like eating the amount of food that I’ve been eating lately, but I know that if I want to reach my goals faster, I’ll have to cut soon.
