sorry the fact that lestat went and bought halloween candy- and still went to give it out despite the fact he was in the middle of a breakdown- just for kids to show up at his door dressed like his dead daughter and two of his exes. absolutely killing me.

#part of me wonders if he bought candy at least partly *because* of the book #feeling so shitty and evil (at least subconsciously) that he needed to be like *see* i *can* be a Good Person and Nice to children #this is where the debate comes in because i know he's a MonsterTM or whatever #but i think the stance of the show is that he still has humanity and guilt to some degree #on the other hand maybe all of this has very little to do with it #maybe he just thinks it's neat and likes all the grocery shopping and theatricality and watching all the little baby humans running around #fun activity to help pass an immortal life #tvl spoilers
