What is the scariest game you've ever played?
Feed your dashboard by answering my question, blogger.
Mmm probably the og Silent Hill. I don’t really play horror games that much lol. Last one I played was Bendy. I prefer cozy games like Animal crossing or Okami. Those are my favorite games. ^.^
genuinely sometimes it feels like the only gender some trfs can conceptualise anyone being is female. Like, you hear it when they talk about forcefemming cis men and speculating on them being eggs. You hear it when they call afab non-binary folks theyfabs, or otherwise make constant reference to their agab. You hear it when they talk about trans men with the same gendered insults we’ve been hearing our whole lives, when they call us cunts and bitches and whiny and pooners. You hear it when they talk about non-binary identities being stepping stones to binary ones (in the case of amab nb folk, stepping stones to transfemininity, and in the case of afab nb folk, stepping stones to detransitioning). You hear it when they talk about afab trans folks having the “privilege” of detransitioning “any time we want”, like being female is just a truth we’re putting off. You hear it when they’re perfectly happy to misgender transphobic cis men, but don’t do the same to transphobic cis women. You hear it when a character being headcanoned as transfem is treated as gospel, and a character being headcanoned as transmasc is torn to shreds. You hear it when a cis man wearing feminine clothes is treated like an egg, and when a trans man wearing feminine clothes is accused of actually being cis. You hear it when they joke about no one actually wanting to be a man, about how no one really actually likes being one, and how everyone would be happier as a woman.
I could spend a few paragraphs highlighting how this thinking is incredibly binaristic and how it views dysphoria as a solid basis for morality, rather than a personal feeling of discomfort, or I could just say that it’s more than ok to be masculine, to be a man, to be anything other than feminine or a woman. It’s more than ok to be non-binary, xenine, atrinary, something inhuman, something genderfucky, something not quite any of these things. I’d even encourage it. And if you want to be feminine, to be a woman, a girl, or anything close, I’d encourage that too.
everyone be whoever you want forever. We only have this life as we’re living it. Don’t let others make it theirs; it’s only ever going to be yours.

you have to understand that my body does not work by default. “ohhh so many medications means so many chemicals inside you. i could never” well if i did not take these things i would not be able to function. i respect and have made peace with the chemical. Get out of my face
in less than three years we will have adults born in the 2000’s
the funny thing about this is that both people born in the 2000s are reblogging this freaking out because they arent ready to be adults and people who were born before the 2000s are freaking out about how they feel old and that it cant be happening because all people born in the 2000s are like 4
in less than two years we will have adults born in the 2010’s

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
Oh shit my son is going to be 18 in two years.
Attempting to put into words why being told to shut up and sit down hurts more than it should as a transmasc:
For those of us raised as girls, we were told to sit down, shut up, and look pretty. Even if someone wasn’t specifically told that, it was obvious that it was being pushed by the people, media, and social norms around us.
So when we as transmascs and trans men are told /that exact same thing/, to sit down and shut up because someone “more important” is talking, it reminds us of how we were treated when we were little girls or when we were seen as little girls.
And the “look pretty” part doesn’t get left out either. The ratio I’ve seen of “shut up and sit down” in the same sentence as something referring to our genitals (or the genitals they expect us to have) is nearly 1:1.
We have to walk on eggshells constantly. We are either seen as confused and stupid little girls or scary and privileged cis men. I’ve seen countless posts saying something along the lines of “take away the trans part from trans men and it all makes sense” which is ridiculous, obviously. We are trans.
When we step outside that perfect model of either the stereotypical 14 year old with fluffy hair and a high pitched voice or the stereotypical cis man with all the power in the world, we are critiqued at best and abused at worst. When we fit into those stereotypes, we are critiqued at best and abused at worst.
We are treated like dress up dolls that are just a bit broken. We can’t be good enough for everyone, let alone anyone. People put their own perceptions of us above our experiences and then stick their fingers in their ears when we try to tell them that maybe we’re worth listening to.
We are already told subconsciously to sit down, shut up, and look pretty by society and your typical transphobes. Being told this by your own community feels like a knife in the back.
You literally have to understand that ur closest friends and loved ones may very well have kinks or fetishes that gross or freak you out and they simply won’t tell you because they know it grosses or freaks you out. Like you have no way of knowing if your best friend is into necro roleplay if she doesn’t wanna tell you. Sometimes you date someone for years before finding out they have a thing for incest. Maybe your coworker likes ageplay and diapers. Who gives a fuck. Nothing changes between you knowing and not knowing except your own constructed moral outrage.

I've been thinking back on my HRT journey this morning, and I really just need to put this out there:
If you know you're trans, and know you want to transition hormonally, do your future self a favor: find a local clinic that prescribes HRT and book a consult appointment. You'll probably have to wait months for the actual appointment, but you need to do this. You may feel like your life circumstances aren't right yet to begin that process, but that's a mental trap. Don't believe that thought. HRT takes months for changes to be noticeable by people who aren't looking for it, or when you aren't trying to show them off. You will very likely be able to hide it for a while if you have to.
But more than that, your life circumstances may be wrong right now because you are simply too exhausted or depressed to make any positive changes for yourself, to take those big next steps toward getting yourself to a better place. Even if you don't think you feel much dysphoria despite wanting to transition hormonally, you will legitimately be surprised just how much your brain chemistry will shift once you have the right sex hormone coursing through your veins. HRT shouldn't be a reward for bettering yourself, HRT should be a step on the way to bettering yourself.
I know all of this first hand, and I've seen and heard the personal stories of dozens of other trans girls struggles with the same over the last year. I spent years of my life putting off starting Estrogen simply because I kept telling myself I'd do it once I moved out of my mother's house. Surprise surprise, 7 years passed and I was still stuck there. It wasn't until after I started HRT that I finally started bettering myself socially, and it wasn't until then that the fire finally lit under my ass that got me to actually start bettering my life socially, and get the ball rolling that finally got me out 9 months later.
Please, if you know you want this, start the process now. This goes for my trans brothers as much as it does my sisters and non-binary siblings. The longer you make yourself arbitrarily wait, the more years of grief you will have to process down the road. You aren't doing yourself a favor by compartmentalizing your life like this, saving the good things you need until you've accomplished goals you've been struggling with for years. You're not going to get anywhere fast if you keep telling the horse to wait for the cart to start moving. Find a provider. Book an appointment. Or hell, find alternative sources if that's feasible for you.
Let yourself start HRT.
And I agree. Finally on T. I feel so much better mentally. I’m not as depressed as I was. My partner even mentioned he sees me definitely having a better time with everything and I’m in a better mood even when I have a bad day at work. If you’re trans and you’re looking for that sign to start HRT. This is that sign,

The reason why so many of y'all's feminism sucks is because you still believe deep down in your hearts that there are only two kinds of people in the world: precious, ethereal, fragile dollthings called "women", and violent, lustful, rage-fueled apes called "men". Until you throw that idea away, 3rd-grade-tier "girls rule boys drool, girls are princesses and boys are stinky :(" is as feminist as we'll ever get-- and I hope it's obvious that that's lightyears away from the bare minimum of where we need to be.
I don't know how I'm supposed to explain to ostensibly trans-friendly feminists that "women are beautiful soft things made of glass, men are obsessed with violence and sex" is exactly what the patriarchy wants you to believe. Patriarchy wants you to believe that being a woman and/or having a vagina (patriarchy generally believes those two things are synonymous) makes one shatter on impact with reality. It makes you easier to control if you are scared shitless of the other half of the population, and it makes you more compliant with your lot in life if you believe it is in the nature of the other half of the population to rape and kill rather than realise those were choices those individual rapists and murderers made. There is no way to make gender essentialism progressive and feminist, because it is one of patriarchy's tools of subjugation. Stop trying to make it progressive.
And I can scream all of that from the rooftops over and over again, and what I hear in reply is "Trans men really are men because no woman would ever decide to become an inherently evil repugnant rapist ape", and "You're so right. Trans women are women because they too are pretty delicate little objects I can fuck", and "You're non-binary? So are you fucktoy non-binary or sexpest non-binary?", and my patience runs ever thinner.
You're so right! the fact that this still needs saying after decades of feminist theory is genuinely infuriating. Bell Hooks had this covered!
The work isn't choosing better categories: it's learning to think without need categories in the first place. I mean- Please Stop trying to shove people into tidy little boxes! I escaped my box!
But how do we help people notice they're thinking in binaries without immediately sorting 'binary thinking' into another binary? This is why I say "labels are traps".
How do we train brains to stretch to continuums, and nuance, and 'grey areas'?
"Not gay as in happy but queer as in fuck you!" Happy pride month!
