When he kneeled down before her and explained, calling her by that sweet pet name, Mia couldn't help but soften. She still had trouble even picturing being bitten by him and his sharper teeth, but she reached out one hand anyway, tracing her fingers on the side of his face and then cupping his cheek. Why did everything have to get so complicated?
She still had at least a thousand questions, but there was one that begged to be answered now, before she could make any other decisions. "What happens if ..," she was anxious to say the words out loud, not wanting to worry him, but she couldn't just not ask. "What would happen if you bite me, and then at some point.. We broke up?" Was this going to be some kind of permanent mark? Closing her eyes before he answered, she shook her head again, cursing the circumstances. "I'm sorry, it's just .. A lot."
Her caress of his cheek only caused Saint to lean into her touch, savoring and appreciating the intimate action. It had been his assumption that she wouldn't see it fit to be affectionate towards him right now. Not after part of their relationship had been -- well, for the sake of a basic term -- a lie. But with this opportunity for Mia to ask him questions, maybe she'd receive some answers that will help her understand.
"I get that this might sound cheesy or somethin', but as long as you wanna stay with me, I'm gonna wanna stay with you. My kind -- we take our mates very seriously. But if you don't wanna be with me anymore, and you're completely forreal 'bout it, you gotta announce it to my pack. And then I'll have to bite you again in the same spot under a crescent moon. ...Then the mark will be gone. But don't worry 'bout that. It won't ever come to that, Mia." Saint answered as truthfully as he could. He didn't want to mention too much that would make her recoil at the idea. "...How long do you need to think 'bout it? Until the end of the day?"

All of it sounded so simple, did it not? Heal. Scout. Attack. Normally, that would be no problem for the clan. But Saint can imagine this ambush has hurt the pack's morale exponentially. He knew that he wasn't the only one among them that had bloodlust as their number one priority right now. That sort of planning requires for everyone to be on the same page, at least. But he definitely put his trust in Landon. Saint was aware that the clan leader would do everything in his power to protect the clan.
"This witch that you know...? She's gonna help out of the goodness of her own heart? She must will want somethin'... She's gonna want somethin'." Saint remarked, as he had no clue about this sorceress that Landon was apparently speaking of. He didn't know that Landon would be privy to know any spellcasters so close enough to help on a whim.
"I know that you know what you doin'. I ain't questioning that." He explained as he let his hands fall from being planted against Landon's shoulders. "I just - need to know what to expect. Just lemme know what you want me to do and I'll do it. For you, for us. My head's clear now. If you need to send me out to scout right now. I'll do it." That was Saint's proclamation, but was it actually all accurate? People knew that his anger wasn't the best controlled. Perhaps going on a solo scouting mission right now wasn't the best idea for him in this moment.

Zoe watched him carefully, studying everything he was giving her. This wasn't like he asking her to move in. This was much heavier and she needed time to process it but apparently couldn't have that time. She ran a hand through her long hair before letting out a breath she didn't realize she was holding.
There was a long moment of silence from her. They really hadn't even been together that long. She liked him though and that had to be enough. She finally brought up her gaze to meet his. "What happens if we dont work out?" She suffered with abandonment issues from her childhood trauma so naturally she was worried he would leave at some point. "I'll do it for you but just. Don't fuck me over."
Although Zoe had expressed some reluctance in receiving any kind of bite, she did seem to eventually fall into possibly accepting one. Saint knows it's not an easy decision for anyone, and he knew that he was really pushing it with the terrible timing. But he truly did think that this would be the option for the both of them.
"As long as you want me, I'm gonna want you. ...I ain't gonna hurt you." He stated as he closed the gap that was between them, moving over to stand just before where she was sitting on the arm of the couch. Zoe's agreement really was turning his mood into a slight hunger -- not that he wanted to eat his lady, but he simply craved her presence. And now that she agreed to his mark, then their pairing would be recognized by his pack.
While that thought looped in his brain, the hue of his eyes seemed to have flashed to a light golden color. Saint's canine teeth projected just a little more -- to make them more obvious. All of this was followed by a heavy a breath as his eyes seemed to hastily look over Zoe. Almost as if he was impatient. Too impatient. "Hm.. Where? Where do you want the bite? I can put it anywhere. Anywhere you want."
the turquoise eyes parted from the male effigy, saint metamorphosed into something that could no longer be kept close to her. she had thought of luke, her best friend, when he had stated that the man in front of her would be the reason for her death. saint had sculpted himself into every cell that made her up, into every thought that molded itself in her mind. he was there. he was always there, in every fucking dream, in every blink of an eyelash, like a fucking haunting capable of letting her go.
a hesitant step had been taken backwards, imposing a few inches of distance, because each time she placed herself next to him, he seemed to find a way to cloud her thoughts and cloud her thinking. a bitterly-soaked laugh had reverberated from her lips. " will you be mine? " she inquired in a playful timbre. " whom do you so wish to deceive, saint? bite me and i will be yours, but you will never be mine. your fucking misery, will be mine. your pains, will be mine, but we will not belong to each other. " eyes rose to the twilight declining on them both. " i have always been loyal to you, but don't ask more of me than i can provide. " her eyes met his. " i need you to let me goβ¦enough, ok? it's over. you don't care about me, you never did. i won't fuck you, that's our difference, i'm not sadistic and i'm certainly not cruel. "
Quite impossible to know exactly Cassiopee would react to what he said; It would be impossible to know anyone would react to it. But what he didn't expect was for there to be so many vile words laced with anger to even slip away from her lips. The things that she said to him -- and how she spoke them with such fervor made him feel as if she meant them. His brow furrowed with a hardened facial expression, feeling a bit enraged by her proclamation.
"Now - how the hell you gonna say that to me, Cass? You talkin' as if I don't put time into makin' sure you're aight - the hell? You act as if I'm askin' you to do this because I wanna harm you." Saint said with a shake of his head as he folded his arms over his chest before moving a couple of steps forwards to try to close some of the distance that she created between them. "I obviously care a lot 'bout you. If I didn't, I wouldn't be telling you about NONE of this. But I'm the sadistic one. I'm the cruel one, huh? Maybe to some people, but NEVER to you. Shit - are you bein' forreal right now? ...You don't want to be mine?"

By now, Saint has been through so much with Eloise - and he knows that a lot of it has not been easy for her. He was aware that he could be a hassle to deal with, but this? This was a completely different tier than what he was normally on. This was talking about him coming out as a different species of being. Obviously, this probably hit her like a ton of bricks, but... he couldn't help but think that he probably just put her in harm's way.
"Ella - I know. I know it's alotta shit to address, but... you know that I would never do somethin' that would be bad for you. Everything that I do, I do it to make sure that you're okay, y'know? It won't hurt that much, and it won't hurt for that long, neither. I just... - I can't do it unless you agree to it. But when my pack knows that you know, or even if some of our enemies end up knowin', you could be hurt. If I give you my mark, the pack won't try to be hostile to you. ...They'd see you as extended family, 'cause of the loyalty." Saint continued to speak, which probably all sounded like something out of some movie. "I know that you probably got some questions for me, so... hit me. ...I'm still me, like always, too."
millie couldn't remember how they got tangled up in each other in the first place, just that against her better judgement, she always came abck to saint, always wanting more of his time, more of his attention. perhaps it started off from a naive, bitter little rich girl standpoint, but now there was something else there that she couldn't quite give a name.
"i have to worry my pretty little head, saint. i can't let something happen to you just being someone treated me wrong." millie said, teeth biting at her bottom lip. "even if i know you can handle yourself, i am still going to worry." she said, wanting to reach out and take his hand, but she held back, taking another long sip of the offered drink. "i hope you don't think that's what i keep coming around here for. tearing people down, ruining lives or ending them, that's not my game."
Saint didn't know what it was, but... it just seems like Millie was holding back about something. The way that she bit her lip? He only perceived it that she wanted to say more than she actually did. Or... maybe it was just out of anxiousness from the whole thing? Regardless, he was definitely reading into her expressions a bit more than he should. Propping his elbows up on the table, he leaned in forward a bit -- his posture a bit more invading to give her his full attention.
"...Oh, yeah? Then, what is your game, then? 'Cause somebody like you really don't have no business hangin' around somebody like me. And shit... I think you know that, don't you?" He proclaimed, the crooked smile that he had wore before was making its return. "...How's the tequila by the way? It ain't the cheap kind."
He'd always had an uncanny way of calming her down, and even though right now things were absolutely crazy, listening to him explain had Mia sigh to settle her breathing and clear her thoughts. Showing him that he could trust her β that didn't sound as bad as the idea of getting branded. Still, she walked back a little until she felt the back of her knees hit the bed and then sat down, staring out in front of her and carding a hand through her hair, just to have something to do.
Her boyfriend was a werewolf. The idea alone sounded ridiculous. But here he was, and here they were, and the only way was through, right? She didn't want to lose him. As much as her instinct was to run at the first sign of trouble, Saint had become a part of her that she couldn't - and didn't want to miss.
Realizing she'd been quiet for too long, she looked up to him, biting her lower lip, and then knit her eyebrows together in confusion. "So - if you'd .. bite me .. Would that be β as a wolf, or?" she asked, sounding reluctant, but also curious.
It may not seemed like it, but waiting on a response from Mia was stressing him out. He had to account for the fact that she was a normal person; That this may be biting off something more than she can chew. ...No pun intended, of course. Even if she were to tell him that she was done, could Saint really fault her for that decision? He couldn't... but he wouldn't like it.
But when her next words were curious questions about "the bite", the tension in his shoulders relaxed a bit. She wanted to know more instead of just telling him to go away from him. This was a good thing, no? Stepping over to where she perched on the edge of the bed, Saint slowly lowered down to his knees before her - as if he was being submissive in a way.
"Nah... Not as a wolf. Just as I am not. Just... with sharper teeth. It won't be so bad, mi amor. And it won't turn you. It don't... work like that. It just shows wolfkind that you're my mate. ...If you don't wanna do this, I can't make you. But if you don't, ...I might be forced to not be around you. I can't hide the fact that you know 'bout me and 'bout werewolves from my clan. I just... I can't do that."

Emilia had found herself in some pretty shady and shitty situations in her short 25 years if life. It had been no surprise that the universe had brought her together with the hitman. Though the longer she had dated him the more she har found out that she didnβt really know him at all. Sure everyone had a past, Emilia was proof of that. She had been in ane out or jail for petty theft and robbery from a young age. The femme had been nothing but honest from the start with him. She felt a little dizzy as she moved to take a seat. Emilia knew nothing about werewolves other than the fiction books she read in her spare time part of her felt like maybe he was just teasing her for them. βBite me?β She finally got out, everything she read had been from silly romance novels but she was certain bites like that were fairly intimate and while she loved him she wasnβt even sure what to make of all of it.
How could she let a man she thought she trusted only to find out he had been hiding a big part of his life from her perform something so intimate and likely painful on her. Could she even trust him to tell her the truth anymore. What would it mean for her if he bit her. βI donβt- i dont know. I donβt even know who you are anymore.β she confessed.
That admittance of uncertainty caused the man to hum a low growl of frustration in the back of his throat. He shouldn't pin blame on Emilia about how she felt; She was definitely entitled to feel that way - the betrayal of thinking you know a person, only for them to drop such a devastating bomb on you. Still, he didn't want to hear those words at all. Not from her. His jaw clenched and his eyes, as dark as an abyss, pierced directly down into her face.
"Don't say that." Saint voiced, slowly shaking his head to express his distaste for that whole statement. "You know exactly who I am, Emilia. Just 'cause I'm... different in what I am don't mean I'm not me." He spoke with a blunt tone - as he refused to let Emilia seep deeper into that rabbit hole of doubt. But he needed to calm. There was no need to let any agitation get the best of him. Instead, Saint moved over to where she was settled and took a seat just beside his lady love.
"I'm still the same person. I know it's hard to believe anything that I say at this point, but I'm still me. You can hate me and be mad at me all that you want - but, shit - just don't say that you don't know who I am, Em." He said with a furrowed brow, still looking over into her direction. He meant what he said, but... it still was the question of the bite burning in the back of his mind. "...It won't hurt that bad. It'll just mean that me and you? That we're bonded. That's it."

The one thing about the lycanthropy is the intense energy that can be shared when among others of the same affliction. He didn't know what it was, but Landon's momentary rage was certainly about to feed him. A one-track record that played in a loop in his brain - that told him he needed to kill. But as soon as his brother took a hold of his shoulders, Saint's hardened expression barely softened. Forced to be still and to breathe; To think...
There it goes. A couple of regulated and deep breaths. The amber hue of his eyes dimmed until they were back to their dark brown color. And his canines, they seemed to have retracted quite a bit. Saint placed his hands on Landon's shoulders, as well -- in a solidarity mimic. To feel that his brother was still there and not among their dead; To know that he still has family.
"Hm..." A low hum came from his throat as he recollected on what had been said to him. They would get their revenge, ...but they need a plan. "Yeah. ...Yeah, I got you. I don't wanna lose you, neither. But what the hell are we gonna do? A lot of the clan who ain't dead are hurt right now. They gonna need at least a couple of days to be a hundred percent. Shit - maybe the witches could help?"
The more he spoke, the less Mia seemed to understand, until she eventually closed her eyes and softly shook her head to try and make sense of what was going on and what he was saying. Just yesterday, she'd laid in bed thinking about how lucky she was, how happy she was that she'd allowed herself to fall for Saint, and now..
Now she felt like someone had pulled the rug from under her. Opening her eyes once more and looking at him with a confused frown on her face, all she could hear were words like claim and loyal, and the fiercely independent spirit in her was practically recoiling at the thought. "Making sense? Saint β you're.. You're basically asking me to get branded for your .. wolfy friends!" she exclaimed, and though she knew the words were harsh and unfair, it was all she managed to get out. With a deep sigh, she tried to regulate herself, and she swallowed hard before continuing. "What does that even mean," she started, more calmly now, "loyal to the pack? What does that mean for us?"
The term "wolfy friends" only made Saint raise one of his eyebrows while looking to Mia. He really couldn't fault her for speaking so freely about it, though. This was sudden; She was practically blindsided by something that she didn't even know existed. Normally, he was pretty calm about most things unless provoked to be irritable. But right now, he just felt a bit antsy about the whole thing. While Mia was his girl, his thoughts were unfairly focused on his clan.
"Nah, nah - it ain't you bein' branded, Mia. It's just you showing that I can trust you. That my family can trust you. ...They're my family. And, hell - ain't family important? I thought you'd understand that." He added, still clinging onto the hope that she would just accept the bite and they could move on with their day. It wasn't something that he could force on her; Mia's consent was definitely needed for this. "All that it means for us is that.. we gonna be closer than we was ever before. ...Don't you want somethin' like that? I do."
millie felt like she could hardly move in the thick silence between the two of them. watching as he poured his drink, her heart pounding in her chest. there were so many things that could be done to her, things people had threatened her family with before. she was the only daughter, she was beautiful and right in line to inherit huge pieces of her father's company if anything happened to him, but never had she ever anticipated that someone would be willing to step out and protect her, unprompted.
she blinked at his response, an unintended giggle falling from her lips, like the idea of anyone being just trash to be taken out so similar and yet different than what her father or eldest brother would say. the drink wasn't for him though, she realized as he pushed it towards her. millie stared down at the amber liquid, only flicking her eyes up to saint once, twice and then a third time before she reached down to grab the drink. "what if someone connects you to it? what happens then?" she asked, before taking a decent sip of tequila, nose only scrunched a little.
Twas his nature to simply study and observe others whenever he had the opportunity to do so. His "field of work" often times relied on his targets and their routines. What time did they wake up, what time did they go to sleep; What daily activities kept them busy. Just simple, small details made big differences in his approach. So, to see Millie's reaction to finally indulging in the drink, a subtle but crooked smile settled to his lips.
"Don't worry ya pretty little head 'bout it, Mills. Nobody's gonna connect nothin'. And if they do, I know how to handle myself. If I can't do nothin' else, I can do that at least..." Saint remarked, obviously confident in his proclamation. Slowly reeling back in his seat, he relaxed his posture -- but still not taking his eyes off of her. "Do you got anybody else that's done somethin' irredeemable to you? My services for ya is free, y'know."

Life was starting to throw curveballs at their clan quite frequently lately - with the most recent one being the ambush performed by the vampires. It almost seemed as if those parasites were always a step ahead of them. Undoubtedly, this angered Saint to his core. To know that the blood of his brothers and sisters had been spilt by the likes of them. Saint's eyes were a hue of orange and he bared his canines -- not at Landon, but out of frustration. He slowly paced back and forth in front of his brother when his way was being obstructed.
"Then let's tear'em a-fuckin'-part, man! They wanna bring that bullshit to us, we'll take the bullshit to THEM. I'll yank all their fuckin' jaws off! Fuck'em!" Saint expressed, sounding as if he was getting more aggravated just by the sheer thought of it. This pack meant a lot to him. If no one else would have his back, he knew that they would. All from different backgrounds, perhaps. ...But this was his family. "C'mon, Landon, man -- We can fuck'em up! You and ME. They don't just get away with what they did -- They deserve to pay, don't they? I know you wanna do it. I know you feel what I feel -- I know you do..."

Saint knows that his Jewel wouldn't purposely cause any malicious acts to come his way. He knows this. Yet - he could only obsessed over the fact of what would the pack think; How would the pack feel? What could he do to make sure that the pack would be okay with this? A deadly combination being loyalty and mania leads Saint to taking extreme measures.
Moving a step closer to Jade, he was just about to attempt to persuade her into accepting his mark before her final words caught his attention. What did she mean by enemies? Who would become an enemy of him because of a loyalty bite? "...What enemies, Jewel? 'Cause -- I'm doin' this for us. Y'know..? I'm tryin' to keep you safe, too. It won't even hurt for long, I promise. Aight? I swear, Jewel -- I swear, I swear."
It was almost as if he was pleading with Jade on some scale about it. Saint was just very worked up about the situation; He didn't expect for this day to have come some soon, and not like this. "I get it. ...I'm sorry. It's a big ass deal, I know. But you know, now. Now that you know, ...my pack might not like it. They would need proof that they can trust you, Jewel. This is the way, baby -- this is it, you feel me?"
Mia's mind was absolutely reeling. It was simply too much, trying to reconcile the reality she'd grown up with, with the one she now faced. And - on top of the supernatural aspect, Saint was the first person in years who she'd let in and had let crumble the strong walls she'd built around herself to protect herself from heartbreak. Right now, she felt like their whole relationship had been a lie.
She scoffed at his words, of course she understood that revealing he was a werewolf wasn't something he'd do without putting thought into it. But he'd actively tried to hide it from her, and as much as it made sense, it also made her feel betrayed.
Still, that wasn't what shocked her most when he spoke. When he spoke of loyalty, and being marked, her eyes went wide and she took a step back. "What?" she snarled, instinctively taken back. "You .. wh β you can't be serious. You wanna .. bite me?"
He could imagine just how insane this whole reveal must have sounded coming from him. For Mia, this new information about men of wolves even existing probably hadn't exactly fully processed. But to Saint, there was a more serious matter to consider here. To conceal what he was -- that wasn't just to protect his own skin, but to keep Mia safe, as well.
"It ain't that I wanna bite you 'cause I wanna maul you or somethin' -- Nah, I just... It's just a thing werewolves do. To claim -- a bond. 'Cause if other werewolves in my pack find out that y'know 'bout us, they would be upset 'bout it." Saint remarked, ...although this probably didn't make it any less confusing. "A bite mark would link us. In the eyes of the pack, they would see that I chose you and that you're loyal. Not just loyal to me, but to the pack. -- Hell, you see what I mean? This makin' sense for you?"
