their parents being best friends resulted in the two spending a whole lot of time together, despite his disapproval. there was just something about her that ticked him off, so he found it enjoyable messing with her. it was all fun and games to him, getting under her skin like that. he rises a brow at her, amused, "are you done with your whining now?" christian inquires, brushing past her to enter the bedroom that was now his for god knows how long. "kinda weird that you have my mom's number on speed dial," he muses, flinging himself on the bed as he turns to face her, a devious smirk appears across his lips, "now, why on earth would i tell you about my plans on ruining your life? it's fun to see you squirm."

                Carmen caught himself right on time, having almost called out ‘corner’ despite the fact he was nowhere near the kitchen. Perhaps, he thought later in retrospective, it would have been better to succumb to his instincts, weird as they were, because he had become so distracted thinking about how fucked it was that he couldn’t seem to switch the kitchen mode off in his brain that he ended up colliding with somebody else coming around the corner at the end of that aisle. “Shit… I’m sorry,” he said, raising an apologetic hand as a reassurance that his annoyance was directed at himself and not the poor soul who had just happened to cross his path. | @dearyvicious​

“people  died  last  time  the  weather  got  this  bad.”  and  anthony  is  not  being  dramatic.  yes,  the  storm  will  get  worse  over  the  next  few  hours,  but  it’s  already  terrible  now.  he  sighs,  knowing  how  stubborn  his  ex  can  be  when  he  makes  up  his  mind  about  something.  maybe  it  is  better  that  he  doesn’t  care  at  all,  but  there  is  no  way  for  him  not  to  worry.  he  looks  at  hareton,  unsure  how  to  convince  him  that  this  is  only  out  of  concern  for  his  survival.  he,  too,  knows  that  this  won’t  do  them  any  good  given  the  raw  breakup  that  happened  between  them,  but  this  isn’t  as  simple  as  that.  as  long  as  they  keep  their  distance  and  boundaries  in  place,  nothing  would  happen  and  they  will  go  on  their  merry  ways  once  things  calm  down  in  the  morning.  “it’s  already  so  dark  outside  now.”  he  glances  out  at  the  gloomy  sky  for  a  moment,  it  doesn’t  look  safe  for  anyone  to  drive  in  this  merciless  downpour.  “just  take  the  couch,  it’s  not  that  big  of  a  deal.”
