hello and welcome to my millionth attempt to have - and maintain - a tumblr blog

in the past, i've had blogs under the names rock-aliens, frienderyn, friendevan, and evanderblake - if you remember me from way back, then it's great to see you again! i used to be a semi-prominent fanfic writer for the game grumps/polygrumps community, as well as the gravity falls community, and took commissions for my writing!

nowadays i go by emmett, my pronouns are he/they, and i'm mostly involved in the smosh/starkid fandoms, although i've only been involved on twitter, and it's been from a distance as to avoid drama. but my goal with this blog is to make more friends and connections who share my interests!

currently i am accepting commissions! if there's a fandom you need more fanfic for, a rare-pair that needs fleshing-out, or some smut you can't find anywhere else, send me a message after reading through the Terms of Service and the post regarding Commissions!

i also have a podcast that is in the works, and i'll probably be promoting that here once the ball gets rolling! any and all info for my podcast, Pop-Culture Palette, will be tagged under #pcppod

Sorry that I have been so fucking absent lately - life really grabbed me by the ghost-dick and didn't let go.

I am currently preparing myself to receive an eviction notice as my bills and debts have climbed so high that I can barely afford to eat, so in efforts to combat that, I have made a GoFundMe while I wait for my income to start coming in from the two (2) new jobs I got this month, and while I am still looking for a third to supplement my income.

After losing my job in August, I had to have an emergency oral procedure that wracked up over $1k in debt (I'm lucky enough to have NO insurance - thanks, government!) and I also had to use my credit card to pay my rent for last month, so I now have credit card debt for the first time in my life, too.

On top of already owing the IRS over $600 in taxes, and having a remaining $1500 in student loans, I am starting to get... overwhelmed, to say the least.

So if you are able to donate, or if you can share this post or this link with your friends, family, anyone who matters to you, I would be extremely grateful.

I also have open writing commissions for various fandoms at this time - there's more info in my pinned post about this, so if you prefer to commission me instead, that would also be super helpful! I have works posted on AO3 and on my blog if you want to sample my writing beforehand.
