heartstopper season 2 spoilers !!!!
i will always have a heartstopper moment watching (and reading) heartstopper!
as soon as the s2 of heartstopper was released, i watched it right away. there's this initial anticlimactic feeling in which i waited for the second season of this really good series adaptation for a year (or so??) just to finish it for a few hours, in one sitting you know what i mean! but on top of this, i love love how this series turned out to be! everything about it gave me so much emotions that i have been processing for days since release (3 days? almost 4 days?)
even the smallest of details was of such importance to me. for example, the parallels of seasons 1 and 2 [click link]; tori's eyes speaking concern and utmost love and care towards her brother; nick's obvious want to let people know but also struggles in doing so (you're so completely valid! and true that you don't owe anyone that information❤️); the progression and development in tao and elle's relationship; tara and darcy's story (specifically how darcy is the kind of person that she is all throughout); isaac's heartstopper moment of realization and further self love—everything is the perfect touch of emotions brought all together to share to people like me who's always been a fan of the books and the show itself! (and even new people who've decided to watch it).
obviously, my words above are a bit arbitrary (?) or like not that in-depth but i genuinely and extremely love everything in this show from the soundtracks used, the cinematography to the portrayal of characters and representation of reality.
i can't wait for the next season. i know it will be a tougher one considering what happened in the graphic novel (as far as i remember) but it will be something to look forward to and see how these lives of these amazing characters are again shown in visuals. i'm always both nervous-excited! i do find comfort and home from watching this series<3
