i think, when speaking about this, i neglected to speak on this aspect. that's totally on me, and honestly, something i hadn't even realised i was not speaking about, so, genuinely, thank you, nonnie!

but yeah, i most definitely agree. i think a lot of my frustration lies on that - we've seen buck advocating for himself, so why is he not doing it now? in the last eps of s8 i remember telling myself (and maybe i said it here, i don't remember) that perhaps Buck was letting these jokes be made about him because he felt they needed him to be their punching bag, and he could take it. kinda like a twisted interpretation of bobby's words to him. i know better now lol.

i think a lot of us were expecting a crash out, or to have buck express his frustration at the treatment he was receiving, and it is not only frustrating, but apalling, he hasn't done that. before i get those asks, no, i don't want him throwing a tantrum. but atp people just make jokes at his expense, even after he's gone out of his way to help them, and he just lets it happen.

lol sorry. small rant here, too. point is - i agree. i hate that the characters have suddenly turned into this. not only the ones insulting buck for doing it this way, but buck for letting it happen, too. it's why i say that 911 feels like a parody of the show we used to watch.
