the Goslingcest people.......... are truly...... something............. but with that said i think that they are truly Their Own Fandom more than they are Project Hail Mary fans if that makes any sense. like, Rise Of The Brave Tangled Dragons fans were fans of each individual work back in the day but they were specifically there for their Crossover Fandom Content more than they were there for any given facet. Or like, Elsa x Jack Frost shippers. With all of that said I think that the only way to fix this problem is to be the change we want to see in this world and write carl and ryland boning. frequently and proficiently. Or maybe even NOT proficiently!

i do get the sentiment, but not to be the friend that’s too woke but black characters being overlooked and pushed out of fan spaces has been happening nigh on constantly since the beginning of time, and realistically it’s a very small symptom of deeply entrenched societal antiblackness. if people wanted more of carl/grace there would be more content and i think people need to think about Why there’s more desire for a goslingcest cinematic universe than there is for a black character who exists in the story, instead of brushing it off as “they’re their own crowd”

one genre of fanfiction that seems to have mostly disappeared since i became an adult is shenanigans-type fics. like not exactly crack but just "the gang goes to 7-11" type, extremely low-stakes plot stories. the beach episodes of fanfiction. i just feel like i don't see those around so much anymore. whered they go. i miss them :(

they should invent a body that feels normal to be inside of

number one rule! never believe ur thoughts after 10 pm . unless its about The Character then believe all of your thoughts wholeheartedly
