I'm fascinated by how the animators for TADC handle Caine's impossible anatomy so well. There's so much to balance and they've somehow engineered a solution for his expressions to hold during speech.

here are all the illustrations i made for my submission to the @gfnonfictionzine ! this was such a fun and unique experience. i had a blast really digging into a character i don't typically focus on and centering the story around his world view.

Ford’s looking through Mabel’s scrapbook while everyone else takes a well deserved rest

everyone else fell asleep while looking through the scrapbook. Mabel and Dipper practically fell out of the chair with Waddles, so Ford moved them into a more comfortable position and took a seat next to his brother. Ford is awake because of his natural insomniac tendencies and curiosity lmao

i love the idea of Ford learning about his family’s lives via the scrapbook and finding out about all the things they’ve done that he’s missed. Stan taking the twins fishing (on a Stan O’ War no less, showing that he’s still holding onto that dream), pics of everyone having fun during Summerween, pics of Wax Stan, etc… plus learning about Stan’s relationship with Soos (and Wendy)
