Lots of people don’t know the specifics of a holiday or just celebrate because its a holiday, but don’t know what it stands for. So I made a little list to make it easier to understand a few basic details, if you want more details feel free to message me or send me an ask for a more descriptive list!

🌱 Imbolc (feb 2)

Beginning of spring! Celebration is with a fresh start (basically new years) make plans for the year and refresh your home and do spring cleaning!

🌼 Ostara (mar 21-22)

The spring equinox, which can be any time between the 20th or 23rd. Its basically a party, full of dancing a music with sweet foods!

🌴 Beltane (april 30)

Beginning of summer! Another party! This one has food that’s fresh like berries and veggies, celebrate by doing self care!

☀ Litha (june 21)

The summer solstice! Its about warmth and fire! Go dancing at a beach party, swim in a pool/lake, have a bonfire!

🌾 Lughnasadh (aug 1)

Beginning of harvest, celebration with lots of cooking and mostly breads!

🍁 Mabon (sept 20-23)

The autumn equinox! Know what you’re thankful for and give back to the community! Doing service work and helping others.

🎃 Samhain (oct 31 - nov 1)

Beginning of winter and to celebrate the spirits/world/underworld/death and our ancestors who have passed! (My favorite holiday!)

My son had an episode last Saturday.  I had to go somewhere for the day, and I brought him to my mom’s. He was just falling back to sleep when it happened.

My nephew heard him grunting and got my brother.  My son’s face was mottled and his lips bluish (we’re pretty positive it was from choking on spit).  His arms were limp.  His face was slack.  When he could be wakened-ish, his eyes roamed, like he had no control over them, before they slipped closed and he was unconscious again. Took him to the ER where they drew blood and did a CAT scan.  Normal.  He woke up, had slurred, even confused speech, which got better as the minutes wore on. 

He was transferred to a hospital where they monitored him during sleep, then did an EEG, which was normal. 

By this point in time, he was back to acting like his usual self.  Talkative, inquisitive, kind.  

So, I was told to just monitor and if it ever happened again, well, THEN, they would discuss what to do.

I got a ‘wait and see.’

He’d had one episode a couple years ago, but he stayed conscious for that one. His face and tongue went numb (though he said it felt like his tongue was almost vibrating before he couldn’t feel it anymore), he had trouble speaking, drooling out the side of his mouth profusely.  But, he stayed awake, and was normal again within about fifteen minutes.  This time was considerably worse.

I don’t want this to be an exponential thing that gets worse every time it happens.

The fact he grunts then goes back to normal makes me think seizure, even though the presentation is odd. Best consult a specialist to be safe.
