anyone can hear the messages from the universe, I'm not special. we've all just forgotten how to hear her. that doesn't mean we can't learn to listen again.

she is constantly talking to all of us, we just don't listen. she is everywhere trying to speak to us. all of us have the ability to hear her, we just have to relearn how.

hearing her messages started slowly for me. it all started in west texas of all places. the way the light of sunset illuminated the November prairie grass made something click. suddenly it all made sense. and I can't explain what it was or how it happened I just know that in an instant the world felt so much more alive. it was the universe leading me to her.

and I would go on to find her everywhere. she was on the peaks of mountains and the streets of the cities. she was the rustle of leaves in the trees and the wind dancing across the sand. she is the deer prancing in the woods and the rock pigeons pecking at bird seed in the city. she is the lightning storms and the clear skies. she. is. everywhere.

to hear her you first have to know her and she introduced me to herself on every corner after we first met in west texas. we are surrounded by her everywhere we go, we just neglect to see her.

it was only after I knew her that I could hear her. she talks to me through the world around me. she sends me messages through the radio and the news and license plates and animals that cross my path and the weather. she has shown me how to understand her.

and sometimes it does weigh on my shoulders as a "welp. I could have died there. good thing I didn't I guess." but most of the time I brush it off as an intimidation tactic (because that's what it was) and therefore something that does not matter to me at all.
