How to break Microsoft's monopoly
I believe that desktop/laptop computer OEM's should be required to ship their machines configured in one of the following ways:
A) Windows is installed with Linux in a dual-boot configuration
B) When powered on for the first time, the user is offered a choice: - install only one of them - install both of them
C) Regardless of the above, have the 'Recovery Partition' contain the tools necessary to install either, with the option to switch the OS at some time in the future.
It's a dream I have.

Always thought it would be fun to have a worm that modifies the boot drive to add a small partition, drops a bare-bones Linux install that then gradually migrates their Windows install to Linux with a Windows UI.
