Summer is finally here in Canada, at the start of July 2026, we had a few hot and humid days at over 90f / 33c which is a nice change from the colder and chilly Canadian months, it really makes me miss Dominican Republic where the weather is more stable and just right, not too hot and not too cold.

I can't believe it's already been a full 3 years of freedom in Canada, and I am now 57 years old, how time flies, the first couple of years were really hard getting my life restarted, but now things are starting to flow through with getting my hospital bed earlier this year, and now the March of Dimes helping to fund renovations for my place so I can get around easier, and also later on this year I will finally be getting an electric wheelchair which will help me to get around better and travel outside to nearby stores.

But there is still alot of work ahead to get my overall health better, and continued push to get proper surgery to my left leg to reduce the lymphatic issues with the goal to be able to walk more by 2027.

Many thanks to everyone that has gathered together and helped promote my GoFundMe campaign during the last 3 years, it has really helped to get my life restarted and to get the things I needed for my health and safety.

Every bit helps me towards improving my overall health and well-being, so please continue to help spread the word about my story and the rebuilding of my life, along with now my original love and passion in making new retro projects for the Texas Instruments Home Computers.

My work on the TI99/4A console helps to keep my mind focused and healthy. I just wish I could spend more hours per day at it, but sadly I still need to rest like 12 to 16 hours a day because of my lymphedema left leg, otherwise I am in too much pain the next day.

So the daily struggle is never over, I got to keep on pushing and moving forward, and staying positive and continue on the path of improving my health and overall well-being, like I have been doing over the last 3 years.

If you're asking what I own: I only have a small collection! my favorite is probably the TI-1750 III, since it came with its case and manual in beautiful condition. They all work, the aforementioned favorite just needs new batteries.

Now, if you're asking me my favorite overall... It's the TI-5040!! I don't even know why, I just think it's awesome😆 I think I just like thermal printing calculators.
