It's the fourth year of the full-scale invasion and the twelfth year of Russia's war against Ukraine as a whole. Thousands of statements saying – "We are deeply concerned". Thousands more saying – "We must stand united".

And yet, when it comes to allowing Russian soldiers into Europe, the deciding factor is the money they bring as tourists. Some countries are literally worried about losing tourism revenue, regardless of where that money comes from.

People were outraged when the Olympic Committee argued that sport should be a "second chance" for people, regardless of what they had done during the war.

But Europe is effectively doing the same thing through tourism.

So in Europe, it's entirely possible for a Ukrainian refugee — a mother with her child, for example — to run into the very person who killed her relatives, committed sexual violence against civilians, took part in torture, or committed other war crimes, simply because he came there for a vacation.

I've been sharing this story around. And the most heartbreaking thing is how often folks pipe up to opine that these two teenage girls must somehow deserved to be apprehended and separated. As if anything could justify this cruelty.

Mind you, they didn't actually commit any crime. They came to America legally, did everything above board, and neither have any criminal record. They've been detained without due process, which should be recognizably abhorrent.

But there's this prevalent, knee-jerk reaction that they must be "illegal aliens" who deserved to be captured and separated.

But I don't think staying silent is the right thing anymore.

As many of you know, I'm Indian.

I'm a student.

I'm a woman.

And lately, it feels like those are exactly the identities this country keeps failing.

What the fuck is happening right now?

This country is genuinely in shambles rn

Sonam Wangchuk, who has been protesting by going on a hunger strike for OVER 20 DAYS, was forced to a hospital and after this happened, The CJP announced a march to the parliament.

Currently, this has grown to become a powerful voice of the NATIONWIDE youth, but alas, we'll always be outvoiced by the government. They have been turning a deaf ear and a blind eye to everything that has been happening, and instead sent police to 'deal' with the 'rowdy bunch'

But the truth is, we have done nothing wrong, we want accountability, because of the NEET paper leak, students lost their lives, innocent lives with a dream of their own which could never be fulfilled, millions of hopes were crushed that day and yet, asking for accountability makes us the villain here.

This isn't about one person, one protest, or one incident anymore. It's about a generation that is tired of being told to wait. It's about students who want a fair chance. It's about citizens who believe that asking questions shouldn't make them enemies.

Whether or not those in power choose to listen, our voices matter.

All i want to say is that this isn't just a protest anymore- it is a REVOLUTION
