Kit was not really one for casinos. She had better things to do than bet all her hard-earned money on a game that was undoubtedly rigged. Still, she had heard the bar at Snake Eyes was just as good and, on this particular night, rather cheaper than the pretty glitzy Mount Olympus. Truth be told, she was more of a dive bar kinda girl, since she rarely had anything more complicated than a beer. But she had gotten an unexpected promotion at work, and since she couldn't find any Cheesecake Factories in Redwood Hollow, she decided to treat herself to a drink after a pretty good meal at Third Street.
"Uh... Hm," Kit said with a little huff. "Y'know, what's the difference between all these whiskeys? Apart from the price, that is. I mean, they all sound pretty much the same to me."
Before taking on this job, Flynn had not exactly been the most well-versed in the nuances of alcohol. He liked his drinks and knew which he preferred, of course, but he could not quite rattle off all the different types of liquors at a moment's notice. But he also was extremely good at learning on his feet, and he had gotten the hang of bartending pretty darn fast. Thus the question he was now posed with did not intimidate him now the way it might have before.
"Well of course. The difference is the labels. You see all those different logos?" he deadpanned, gesturing to the bottles as if that was the most obvious thing ever before he finally shook his head. "Ok ok, I'm pulling your leg. The difference is how long they're aged and what kind of barrels they're aged in. The longer the aging, the stronger the whiskey. Pro tip--top shelf is called that for a reason. The best ones are on the top shelf. But yeah, those also are the most expensive, so maybe you might wanna try a lower shelf?"
