Alright, he had a bit of a point. Colt had heard some pretty wild stories about people claiming things were possessed. Still, a demon being summoned by a Ouija board was a little too obvious. "Yeah but wouldn't they stick t' somethin' less obvious? Everyone 'spects weird things t' happen wit' that game. One o' 'em should try t' possess, I dunno, a toaster or somethin'."
Kronk's eyes went wide as Colt suggested that a demon or spirit possess a toaster. "A toastergeist...." he whispered to himself. The bread would never be safe again. "I don't know... what if you mess with it, and start seeing freaky shadows everywhere you go?"
A favor to ask {Kronk & Kristoff}
Kristoff was nervous—but then again, when wasn’t he when it came to Anna of Arendelle? The mere thought of her had a way of tying his insides into knots, the kind that twisted and pulled in directions he didn’t even know a stomach could manage. It was ridiculous, really. He could haul trees across meadows without breaking a sweat, face down storms that would send most people running for cover—but asking one woman how she felt about him? That was somehow the greater challenge.
And not just any woman. Anna wasn’t just kind, or warm, or endlessly optimistic—she was all of those things at once, wrapped up in a presence that made the world feel a little brighter just by existing in it. Which, unfortunately for Kristoff, made the risk of ruining what they already had feel all the more terrifying. Their easy banter, their shared work, the quiet comfort of simply being around each other… he didn’t want to lose that.
But he also couldn’t keep pretending that was enough.
So here he was.
Standing just inside Evangeline, the restaurant softly aglow with warm light and the comforting hum of conversation, Kristoff felt entirely out of place. The air smelled sweet—vanilla, sugar, something rich and buttery—and it only made his nerves worse. This wasn’t his world. Give him the ice rink, and Sven any day.
Still, he pressed on, spotting the familiar, broad-shouldered figure behind the counter.
“Kronk.”
His voice came out a little rougher than intended, and he cleared his throat, stepping closer. He rubbed the back of his neck, shifting his weight from one foot to the other like he was trying to find solid ground in a room that refused to give it to him.
“Hey, uh… I’ll get right to business,” he started, words tumbling out faster than he could quite control. “I need your help.”
He paused, exhaling slowly as if that might steady him, but it didn’t do much.
“You know that dessert you made during Valentine’s?” he continued, glancing briefly away before forcing himself to meet Kronk’s eyes again. “The one everyone wouldn’t stop talking about? Yeah… that one.”
Another pause. Another shift of his stance.
“Can you make it again?” he asked, voice dipping just slightly, almost cautious now. “I’ll pay you, of course. Whatever it costs. It’s just—”
He stopped, suddenly aware of how warm his face felt.
“It’s for someone,” he finished, quieter this time, a small, sheepish smile tugging at his lips despite himself. “A special someone.”
Kristoff let out a soft breath, like he’d just admitted something far bigger than the words themselves. Maybe he had.
“Anna,” he added after a beat, as if there was any chance Kronk wouldn’t figure it out anyway.
His gaze dropped for a second before lifting again, a mix of hope and nerves flickering across his expression.
“I just… want it to be perfect.”

Hearing his name so directly startled him a bit, and he jumped. "Huh? Oh— Hi Kristoff," he smiled warmly. The man seemed to be on a mission, which felt a little intimidating, but Kronk locked in, willing to hear him out.
"On Valentine's day? Oh—! You must be talking about the Bananas Foster! Well sure, I could make it again," he answered, without even asking for the details. Kristoff willingly gave them anyway, which made him smile. "Ahhh, riiiigggghhhhtttt," he smirked, with a wink. "I think I'm picking up what you're putting down."
Kronk threw the towel he'd been holding over his shoulder and looked around, before his eyes settled back on the man before him. "When do you need it by?"

Baking wasn’t usually a two person job. At least, it wasn’t with Hiro. But every rule had an exception and this was one of them. “Thanks for coming by to help! With you here, this should be easier.”
Absentmindedly tapping her fingertips with his thumb, Hiro looked up to the guy who’d been more than happy to volunteer to help him. It wasn’t exactly that Hiro couldn’t do this by himself, it was just that she knew better than to. An opera cake with all its layers alone? That just sounded like a surefire way to get him in the worst, most impatient mood ever.
“Ready to start? The recipe’s right here if you wanna check anything.”
"Of course! I'd love to help; baking is a passion of mine." Kronk rubbed his hands together enthusiastically, and smiled. Admittedly, he wasn't too practiced at making opera cakes, but he was always eager to learn. "All systems go," he confirmed. "Lemme just take a peek, just in case."
Walking over to review the recipe, Kronk nodded his head, committing the steps to memory as best he could. It wasn't like they were going to look once and the recipe would disappear, but he liked to familiarize himself enough to not have to keep going back. "Alright, what would you like me to do?"
Are you going to say goodbye?
"...Goodbye? Goodbye to who? Who's leaving? Should I be concerned?"

Are you going to make me cry?
"What? No! Of course not... I would never..."
Are you going to run around and desert me?
"Wha- who is this? I'm starting to think you've got me confused..."
are you going to let me down?
"Gosh, I hope not... I wouldn't do that intentionally..."
are you going to give me up?
"Give you up? Well, I don't know you, so... But I don't give up on people very easily."

valentine's weekend didn't mean much to him since he wasn't in a relationship, but it was a nice change of pace to see the majority of the town happy and having fun, especially since the poisonings looked to have ceased.
bam was perched on a park bench reading the latest book from his never ending reading list to pass the time. time wasn't a concept when bam was nose deep in a book. hours passed and he hadn't moved his spot, it wasn't until he looked up that he has realised that the day was well into the evening.

Of course, Kronk had been working on Valentine's day making sure that everyone had a lovely time. He had promised Wendy that the would celebrate properly together the next night, though gave her the gift he'd gotten on the actual day, of course. He still had time before he had to be home though, and since it was a beautiful day, he figured it would be a perfect time to start up Bird Bingo again.
He'd been there for about an hour or so, and checked off quite a few interesting specimen: black-capped chickadees, pileated woodpecker... a few others, but those were more memorable. Just as he was starting to pack up, he noticed someone reading on a different bench, a ways away. "What are you reading? Something popular? Must be good, to be out here this late."
"i did, know a few people that had been harmed really well and the rest i've known just in passing. i work at the hospital, i saw a lot close up. there were a few ones that were quite frightening more than the others. i wouldn't want anyone to have to go through that" she'd watched people lay in coma's for months and their loved ones tearfully sit by their bedsides begging for the other to wake up. it had been heart-wrenching to watch. "did you know anyone?"
Kronk couldn't imagine having to be that close to the issue. It wasn't like you could just walk away when it was your job. "That must have been hard. No, thankfully. I don't what I would do, if that were to change. Or god forbid, if something happened to me. I wouldn't want my family to worry. I'm sorry, if you don't want to talk about it I understand."
hearing his laugh, wendy couldn't help but laugh along. she found kronk's laugh infectious and it wasn't hard to end up laughing along with him. whatever peter had been trying to scare kronk off with, it clearly hadn't worked.
with the whirlwind of being swept up in their budding romance, wendy hadn't given much thought that eventually that she would actually introduce kronk to her family until they had dived into their conversation. sure, the idea was there but that would become reality "my dad and brothers have sweet tooths, you could definitely win them over with cakes. i think my mum would be impressed at the jump rope skills, i know my brothers will be jealous of them" she grinned.
wendy had been so fixated on kronk that she hadn't noticed some guests were slowly making their way off the dancefloor "it is, the day has been lovely and i'm glad there's not been any drama for the couple. james and tina have thought of everything, i'm happy for them"
Kronk made a mental note of all the pointers Wendy was giving him. It wasn't that he felt the need to bribe them, he probably would have brought some sort of dish or dessert anyway, more as a friendly gesture. But it did give him an idea of what to talk about. Being bad at small talk wasn't the worst thing in the world, but it helped if you knew where to start. "Don't worry, I won't do too much bragging," he joked.
As much as he wished he could say he was confident that it would go well, he was a little intimidated by the idea that Wendy's family may expect a lot. His resume didn't stack as high as hers. But, he was successful in his own right, and hoped that was enough.
"Me too," he smiled, leaning down to give her a gentle kiss. When he raised his head, he noticed that the crowd on the floor was quickly diminishing, and so he held his hand out to her. "Come, there's a lot more to do and celebrate throughout the night." With that, he gently pulled her off the dance floor, to explore what the rest of the night had in store.
"Kronk" Misty said with a fond smile as she walked over sitting at the table with her best friend, "Just the man I was looking for." she said smile growing. "I need a table for two for Valentines Day and for you not to say anything weird about it" she said with an eyebrow rand finger raised. "What kind of dessert?" she inquired.
Kronk turned when he heard his name, and smiled widely. "Hey, Misty." He was grateful to hear that she wanted a table, and also just happy to see her. Why she needed it or who she was bringing wasn't really his business. "Zero weirdness, I promise. I'm thinking about having a small selection; finally perfected that Bananas Foster recipe. Remember that disaster?" he laughed, shaking his head. "Then I was thinking about going with a cheesecake, and maybe Crème brûlée. I wanted to do something more enticing than cupcakes, you know?"
[ 🎀 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat is their main love language ?
OOC: Kronks love languages are quality time and acts of service. The way he gives / shows love is by doing things for others. This could include making dinner, cleaning up, making sure a partner has a nice cozy spot to come back to if they're having a hard day, things like that. However, the way he enjoys receiving love is through quality time. Growing up as a middle child was a little difficult in the attention department, so it means a lot to him when a partner or even a friend gives him undivided quality time and affection.

"Oh, I thought because it's for Valentine's Day it was implied that a date was required," Anna began to over explain. "Since it is the day of all things love." While being single another Valentine's Day sucked, Anna was excited to find out she could still get her free dessert after all. "You will for sure see me there," she told him. "What is the dessert anyways? Or is it a surprise?"
"You could bring whoever you want, or no one at all. That's entirely up to you," he shrugged. He wasn't one to judge. He was feeling a bit guilty that he was working on Valentine's day, but he already had a plan to make it up to Wendy. "Glad to hear it. As far as the dessert... well, that is yet to be seen. I've got a few different ideas up my sleeve, but I want to make sure that whatever it is, it's easy to mass produce but still gets the love and care required to make it taste good. Does that make sense?" Kronk chuckled, hoping she would understand.
"Free dessert?!" Anna exclaimed, she couldn't pass up such a sweet deal. Then she realized it was for Valentine's day. She had been single since the breakup with Hans and hadn't gone on any dates since. "But I won't be able to go. How am I going to find a date in time?"
Kronk saw the disappointment in the womans face, and offered a smile. "Who said anything about needing a date? It's just a business tactic, to get more customers. But no matter the party size, the invitation stands. Anyone who comes in, as long as they order something from the menu, gets a free dessert. Made in house, by yours truly."
