You can probably find him in some type of park or forest area, the greener the better or in touristy spots people watching. Usually in a tree or atop a pole. ‘

Sweetest boy, almost naïve to a fault. Can be trusting but has a good gut feeling (excellent insight stat). Will try to be your friend but beware if he armed with arms and they are effective. 

truthfully, that had not been the answer he had expected. he supposed that made sense, though, to get a somewhat confusing answer from a man in a tree. it was an all around puzzling encounter– he could only be glad the stranger decided to drop down next to him, rather than stay put and make Dion crane his neck for the entire conversation. it would not have lasted very long that way!

“A knight?”

a small chuckle escapes. yes, he could technically be called such a thing, though he was never quite referred to as such. prince, yes. dragoon, yes. commander, yes. perhaps it was because he was held so aloft in social status that he did not feel very knight-like. now, his second-in-command…he was a true knight.

a pang of hurt runs through his chest.

“You could say that, yes. I do prefer a lance as my weapon of choice, whereas most knights may favor swords. Are they uncommon where you are from?”

“I mean to be honest; Swords, lances, axes, maces, whatever were all used. Though that’s I’ve heard. I mean look at me, you think I’m the type of person who could find himself gallivanting ‘round castles and such?  I’m just Redbean, not somebody who would meet royalty face to face. Can you imagine? They’d be like who is this mountain bumpkin doing in my halls. “ 

You giggle, soft notes leaving your lips as you try to right yourself. You are but a humble warrior, tasked to journey the world and right the wrongs of the unjust. Eyes now looking at the other, moving from top to bottom. 

“Yup just like the stories. You’re definitely a knight. That means you serve a kingdom right?” 

Excitement builds in your chest and legs, now bouncing on your heels as you continue.

tired was not quite strong enough a word to describe the full body exhaustion Dion currently experienced. both body and mind felt weighed down as if by tar and it was all he could do to go through the motions of living. he had been quite tired before, driven to the brink after battles or particularly tough training days as a youth, but this was enough to make a man yearn for rest as one might yearn for water in a desert.

he was still keen on learning more of his surroundings, but he knew his limits. if he did not take a moment for himself, his body would force him to. rather than potentially be a burden to some random citizens, Dion begrudgingly plops down upon a bench beneath a tree. immediately does he feel some relief and he would be lying if he said he would be getting up any time soon.

he had just allowed himself to rest his eyes when a rustle from the tree branches alerted him to something. an animal, perhaps? casting his gaze skyward, he flinches slightly, no more than a gentle rise-fall of his shoulders. not much startles him these days, but he did not expect to see a person perched upon a fork in the tree.

“I…” am almost at a loss for words. “Have you been there this entire time?”

The woods are a sanctuary for you, to say the least. A bastion of serenity and peace from the hustle and bustle of city life. Unfortunately the Mistwoods are ways over there and you are here, a weary traveler in the midst of civilization. Luckily enough there seem to be a few good ones scattered among the area big enough for you rest on. So for a normal sight for anybody that knows you, you climb the tree, nestling comfy within the boughs . 

You sat there for gods know how long, your conscious teetering between this realm and the astral plane, sunlight piercing through holes in the canopy when you felt a presence below you. Scampering along the branch you find an individual resting below you, what caught your eye though was this person dressed in the garbs of those of a royal oath. A rare sight indeed for you. 

“In what regards?”

You questioned, head peeking through before deciding to drop down. 

"Gladly."

You take the skewer, letting your breath cool down the skewer before taking a bite. The snap of freshly charred veggies, contrasting with the soft but slightly chewy texture of mushroom sends your mouth into a moment of bless.

“It’s hot, very hot, so hot I could fry an eg.....MY EGGS! I left them on a sidewalk earlier!“

If you were to follow him, you would expect to see a pan with an egg inside and yet there he is, holding one whole egg shell and all staring at it deeply.

G’raha smiles when the other is receptive to his introductions. Another fellow adventurer. He wonders if he would like to join their expedition to find out the truth behind the creators of this world. G’raha thinks that laying that upon him will result in immediately disembarking from the conversation. After all, his venture is a substantial one that cannot be taken lightly.

“‘Tis a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Redbean, student of Yunfeilong. Baldesion? A god?” G’raha smiles warmly, “No, Sire Galuf Baldesion is a man of excellent stature and intelligence. He created the Students of Baldesion to study the arcane and aetherical mysteries, hoping to create a future with a deeper understanding of the world.” While Krile was the ward of Baldesion, G’raha saw the leader as a father. He did take him in when he was sent to live in Old Sharalyan.

“Bahamut! You know of Bahamut? ‘Tis your god, you say? If I may be so bold as to ask you a few questions about your god? I know of this Bahamut you speak of, but I assume that ‘tis not the same as yours. Pray tell me the lore of your god.”

G’raha’s tail swishes in excitement over finding a connection between his world and his new friend.

Your eyes sparkled at the question, your fingers interlaced as excitement begin to fill your very being. You motion to a bench near you as you plop down and get ready to tell your tale, one that you heard since childhood but love to tell. It’s one of your favorite and you getting to tell it shows how much you’re growing in your rank as a monk. 

“Okay so first, Yunfeilong is the temple i grew up, I believe in the common language it translate to cloud flying dragon, because our temple is so high in the mountains we’re in the clouds and due to the fact that...” 

You gesture at the golden bangle on your arm. 

“We revere the platinum dragon: Bahamut also known in our tongue as Baijinlong. Bahamut is one of the celestial beings that govern good in my world. Gods like Ioun the goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom, Silvanus the god of forest, Talos of Storms, Sarenrae of Healing and Redemption. Bahamut is part of this patheon and presides over justice and a foil to his sister the sinister Tiamat, the five headed dragon of chaos.” 

At the mention of Tiamat, your voice sharpen and an anger run through your veins before you quell it. You take a deep breath to center yourself before continuing.
