Back in April I started a new job where I'm no longer a preschool teacher, but the director if an entire school in one of the wealthiest areas of the state, managing 75 kids and 25 staff(most of whom are older than me). It has been a complete roller coaster. Some days I come home wondering why I havent been doing this my whole life and others I come home and browse Indeed for less stressful jobs. Today we had a management meeting with all of the other directors and the owner of the 5 centers and she told me to my face in front of everyone how much better my center and the company as a whole are since I've joined. I'm writing this to look back on for those days when I want to update my resume and leave, as they are inevitable in any field but mine in particular. For those days when parents scream at me for 45 minutes over a miscommunication. For the days when 10 of my staff members get the stomach flu and call out at the same time.
