There really is no need for all of this, pet. All this pointless struggling. What is it for? The only person you're hurting is yourself. *You* are the one forcing me to punish you. As much as I might enjoy it, I'd be infinitely happier showering you with the boundless depths of my affection.

Maybe I'm asking too much of you. I can't expect a dumb dog to know what's best. For now, you seem to need Owner's firm hand to beat you into shape. Don't worry, pet. I can play your game. Still, maybe a taste of what you could have will help you see the futility in your resistance. Upstairs I have a puppy playroom just for you. It's infinitely more cozy than this dank pit of a basement. You could be playing with toys this second if you hadn't allowed your ditzy doggy mind to be filled with thoughts that aren't meant for you.
