Hades was trying his best to not lose his temper as he once again glanced down at his wrist watch. It was close to being half an hour that he had been waiting in line and it seemed like he had barely moved an inch since coming in to the building. All he had been paying attention to was the fact that he would rather be home by now laying beside his wife especially after his semi-intense workout for the day. He was thinking how he could just come back tomorrow at an earlier time but he was already here. He was no damn quitter. Not even the DMV could get the best of him. From the corner of his eyes he caught some movement and turned to see a blonde taking a small peek at him. Unfortunately, it wasn’t just any blonde as he remembered that face. The blonde wouldn’t give her the satisfaction to see him grit his teeth in annoyance but he hadn’t had a pleasant conversation with her when they had first met. “Don’t worry. I am just trying to deal with my shit and then we can go our own separate way.” 

Flora was already soothed by her offerings. And in a good mood. It helped eased Fauna’s nerves. It was quite a huge feat to tell her sister that the “neanderthal” she’s dating has knocked her up. She just had to make sure that her sister was in the best mood possible for this. 

Flora rushed over and kissed her sister on the cheek in greeting as she took the goodies from her hands. Placing them on the counter, she inspected the offerings and glanced back to Fauna, "these look nice. Did you perhaps get more than one animal?" Flora liked Fauna's animals, as long as they all stayed at her place. The pictures were certainly cute. Maybe she finally got a persian.

"Wow, you seem really informed about that. Is there something you are trying to share ?" Melody made her best effort to appear interested but the genuine feeling was lacking. Melody looked at the little baby in her lap happily oblivious of Melody and Flora’s rivalry. The baby was even mimicking to Flora asking the blonde to pick her up. Riley was a very friendly baby and even not knowing the person she would often mimic for them to pick her up. Every time Mel comes out for a walk with Riley people stop her due to the baby’s adorableness and infecting smile and happiness. "Wow, why don’t you just say it louder ? I don’t think the guy all the way across the field heard you yet!" the girl glared at Flora proceeding to take another spoonful of the baby food. "To be honest I’m scared of the result. If she’s not Barrel’s it’s a big mess. But of course you wouldn’t understand that. I’m pretty sure no one ever popped that lil’ cherry of yours. And if they did I want to meet the person to tell’em how sorry I am of that." She tried to get every last bit of food onto the spoon before feeding it to Riley."Yay! We’re all done! High five!" she grabbed the little baby’s hand and high five’d it while the baby giggled, forgetting that Flora was there for a second. "Dash? Well, if it was him it would be a even bigger mess. He’s dating Eilonwy and she’s a close friend of mine. What a huge mess."

Flora rolled her eyes and wouldn't even entertain the thought of Mel understanding anything close to how she grew up. Instead she looked from the brunette to the small child and took an unconscious half a step backwards when she realized what was happening. The tiny one was reaching towards her and for a moment, she wondered if it was perhaps because something was on her skirt that the baby found interesting. Quickly brushing the fabric, she found that to be untrue but still kept her slight distance. "Well of course I was loud! I'm doing the city a favor and reminding them that you're basically a pollutant and should be avoided at all costs. God knows what those boys were carrying," she huffed, regaining control of her volume. Her eyes narrowed, "I'll have you know that I have certainly-- wait. Why am I even justifying this to you? I've had my share and luckily I did it without becoming unexpectedly pregnant, like some people." Flora didn't know how to be subtle, she looked very pointedly at Mel when she said those words. Flora's eyes lit up at the mention of Eilonwy, one of her favorite people. She still didn't know how someone of her stature could slum it with such ridiculous people. "For the sake of the town, I hope it was him. I'm sure the king would do away with you for hurting his daughter like that."

Oh, you. Okay then I don’t give a fuck I broke it. What me and Mel are up to? What? Stop stressing granny, your hair’s already going grey.

Nope I did not break this, wasn’t me. Wasn’t even looking at it. 

Surprising News [Flora & Fauna]

The day was sunny, the birds were chirping and the first signs of fall were starting show. Overall a wonderful day. Only to be ruined by the sight of the blonde. Mel often wondered what she did in a previous life to deserve such a horrible human being in her life. “Well. You just don’t tell a kid that they were and accident, and that they weren’t wanted in the first place. That leaves psychological scars for the entire life. ” She shrugged and searched the backpack for the little pot of baby food. Melody positioned the baby on her lap. ” Maybe that’s what they want you to believe in” she talked not even glancing up at the woman. “You know” she faked a sad tone in her voice. After twisting the lid open she sighed and looked up at the blonde. “I’m not sure if she’s Barrel’s daughter honestly” She scooped a little bit of the baby food and fed Riley. “Living with two guys… Sometimes things get … complicated. To be quite honest.” The baby clapped her hands happily “So Riley might be Barrel’s, or Dash’s or even Tip’s.” Melody kissed the top of the babies head “I’m waiting for her to grow up a little more and show some resemblances to either one of them. Hopefully it’s Barrels. Fingers crossed.”

"If you tell a child they aren't wanted, it gives them their entire life to become stronger because of it. If they have scars, it's only their fault," Flora crossed her arms, frowning at Mel. "My parents never thought any such thing about us. We are the three perfect daughters anyone would ever want." She was so fully focused on her disgust with Mel that the beautiful autumn day was completely lost on her. Usually Flora actually enjoyed the great outdoors at this time of year, right before the leaves fell and created a huge mess. The changing colors were nice, the coming trash heap was not. But at that moment, Mel was her only unfortunate interest, the poor child was saddled with a less-than-qualified guardian. "You don't know which one is the father?!" Her voice rose a little in surprise and horror. How on earth could she not know? "Why on earth would you wait when you could take a paternity test? Or are you afraid that their DNA will disintegrate the syringe? Or is it a matter of you enjoying the game of stringing them along?" Flora had no clue why she was so interested in this child's father, and it bothered her that she was bothered. "For your sake I hope it's that curly haired one, he's the most likely to give you a mildly better looking child than the other two."

Mel took the beautiful day as an opportunity to take Riley to the park. She felt that the baby spent too much time at home and deserved a little fresh air. Packing all the necessary baby things in her backpack along with a little towel for them to sit in the grass. Riley was a wonderful baby, never threw a tantrum and always smiling. Mel started calling her Smiley Riley a while back but quickly stopped after realizing how it sounded like Miley. Melody plopped down the towel and sat with Riley. Melody was pretending to eat the baby’s hand when a scoff got her attention. She looked up and saw Flora talking. “What’s a crime is that face, but let’s not go that way.”  Mel looked back down to the baby and saw an opportunity that she couldn’t miss. “And what’s the matter if I have a child ? Many young girls have. Accidents happen. There’s no better example of and accident than you.”

It didn’t even occur to Flora that she had never seen Mel with any indication of a pregnancy, but she never paid more attention to the girl than she absolutely had to. All she saw was the obnoxious girl with the child in the park and she could barely believe her eyes. The thought of Mel furthering her DNA into a new generation; a tiny version of her and her wretch of a boyfriend was just horrifying. Flora crossed her arms, bristling at Mel’s words, “I’ll have you know my parents planned each of their children. You’re the only one that seems to enjoy celebrating mistakes – something that everyone else in society sees for what it is.” The blonde looked at the little girl, scrunching her nose at the sight. She didn’t even know if she liked children all that much, but she did know that if she had one of her own that they’d be a thousand times more well-behaved than anything Mel could raise. “I’m sure this one is the offspring of you and your barbarian? Figures you two would be prone to illicit mistakes. You probably live in some rundown apartment as well. She’s going to get sick all the time if you aren’t careful to keep the place clean, you know.”
