At the end of the day, they’re a family and it is honestly so unrealistic to expect that she would publicly criticize her own son’s action after everything that’s happened.

You can disagree with Jack, you can be disappointed and you can hold your own opinions but expecting a mother to come out and condemn her son like she owes the public that??? That’s not realistic.

Family dynamics are deeply personal and complicated. Coaching a women’s team doesn’t automatically mean she’s going to oppose her own son or respond in a way that aligns with what strangers expect. And it certainly doesn’t mean she owes the public a statement crafted to satisfy the internet.

We do not know these people. We don’t know what they’re like behind closed doors, what they believe, or how they move in their private lives. Public roles and curated images are not the same thing as character.

We really need to stop projecting our own expectations onto people we don’t actually know (learned that the hard way).
