Glee – "The Scientist"

It’s my favorite song from the series. I’ve had to listen to quite a few stupid comments because I think the *Glee* version is much better than the original. I’ve loved the original by Coldplay ever since it came out, and I never expected there to be a version that moved me more than the original but the *Glee* version manages to do just that. Unlike many others, I listened to the song with a completely open mind, as I had never watched the series before stumbling upon the *Glee* version's video on YouTube. When I watched it, I cried at the end because it moved me so deeply; for me, the version is simply pure emotion. The cast members' voices suit the song so well Naya and Heather, in particular; there is something about their voices on this track that touches me deep in my heart. It really stayed with me, prompting me to check out the series and eventually fall in love with it. The episode featuring the song breaks my heart every time, yet despite all the breakups in that episode, I also associate the song with something positive: the fact that *Glee* led me to discover it 🫶🏻
