âSephiroth vs Cloudâ : DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY AC â˛

âThereâs a place Zack told me about. Itâs where he goes to be close to her.â He called back to her over the sound of the engine and wind rushing past. âI know it will work.â Truthfully he wasnât sure how he knew it. It just felt right.
   She raised a brow as he drove off to this place. âIt just felt right?â She asked as she chuckles as she took a deep breath. She had a bad feeling about this. Zack she missed him but at the same time she wasnât gonna push for his attention due to the fact she couldnât get distracted. Like she was now.
The blonde was caught a little of guard. He hadnât realized he said the words outload until her question came. There was intent to explain it either. Athena would just have to make her own sense of his words. Instead of thinking about it, he put his focus into the ride. The terrain here was rough and needed his attention. The last thing they needed was to crash. Then heâd never heard the end of it.
After what seemed like over and hour of constant movement, they finally came to the area heâd been looking for.
Tall black trees loomed overhead as he slowed the back down to a slower pace to weave into the forest. The sun had set, leaving them in almost pitch black. The only light came from Fenrir, allowing them to see only what was directly ahead. He knew what he was looking for and hopefully they found it soon. Moving through the dark like this made him uncomfortable.Â

The engine roared as he took off. It felt so familiar andâŚnice to have her riding with him. Cloud had to remind himself that this wasnât the past. That part of their lives was over and done with. Instead of focusing on her and those memories, he gave his attention to the road and the path to where he might be able to connect with Aerith.

The blonde kept her self close as he took off , She didnât like the fact that her and Cloud were already close like this. She was to stay low in case Sephiroth needed her. But she couldnât do anymore then what she was doing now. Â "Where exactly are we heading Cloud?â Honestly she had no idea how these things worked. Talking to those who belong to the life stream. Yet she knew how to rip a soul out of there.

Cloud knew that the same could be said of all of them. He had his faults even if they werenât as bad as Sephirothâs. He walked back to his bike, getting onto the large machine. Slipping his goggles into place, he gestured for her to get on behind him.
âI think you need to talk to Aerith more than I do. Maybe she can help us both.â
She raised a brow and looked at him. He wasnât gonna let this go , if he wanted to know the truth of Sephiroth then so be it. she drop her arms to her side and walked up to him and got on the bike , she wraps her arm around his waist and smirks. âYou want me to talk to Aerith then we BOTH will might be a little more happier talking to someone you miss.â She said softly. She didnât want to do this but she couldnât stop him at the moment . Pluse she was bored.

The blonde swallowed hard and closed his eyes. Athena truly believed her own words. She could not see the spell Sephoroth had cast over her. He had made the world love him and follow him as a soldier. Even Cloud himself had wanted to be like himâŚbut that was the past.
âSo letâs go ask her.â
She looked over at him and raised a brow. She turned around as she laughs as she pushes some hair away from her face. She scoffs as she walks around the area they were in as she sighs as she leans against piece of what was left of the house . She looked at him. Aerith could and would possibly tell him the truth about the father of the child. She turned her head and looked at him. "Why donât you ask her thenâŚ.â She told him.  "You knowâŚâ She looks down as she then looked back up at him. "You act like youâre the only one who has lost something in their life Cloud. I lost a lotâŚbecause of Shinra I lost my family I lost people i adored . All because Sephiroth.â Part of her was admitting the truth of what she hated about Sephiroth. âIf you truely want me to see the worseâŚshow me besides what he has done..as of late he has been quiet so you canât blame him for anything.â She said as she pushed off the house.

He remained on the bike, leaving space for her to get on if she chose to listen to what he had to say about all this.Â

âIn your head.â He snapped, showing a little more emotion. âIn your mind, that child was him before it was ever conceived. But that doesnât make it true. He escaped the life stream and stole our babyâs body. I just hope Aerith is taking care of MY son, wherever he is now.â
His hands called into fists, nails digging into the leather of his gloves. These things had never been said out loud. Of course they were wrapped up inside his mind but speaking it allâŚmade it so much more real and it hurt that much more. Because of her obsession with Sephiroth, he lost what could have been his only chance at having a child and a life aside from all this.
She watched him as she glared at him. His words that spilled from his mouth made her hurt more then anything. She was not in her right mind to think that Sephiroth was actually her CHILD . She shook her head as she looked away as she growls at his last comment. âHE MY SON!â She glared. If he only knew the truth on who the father was it made her nearly want to spit venom in formed in words that would make him break. âAnd only Aerith would know the truth behind it all Cloud!â She spat at him. She turned as he breaths heavily , her heart was beating hard against her chest as she brought her hand to her head as she shook her head. âIâ Am his mother and I will not let you stand in his damn way or anyone else . "She said looking at the building. She then turned her head to look at him. "And if he wants the world to burn then so be it!â She yelled at him.

Sephiroth would never be that to him. It didnât matter where the dna for his newest body came from. That child was gone, its soul stolen away by a monster. The child that might have been his was long gone, dead and hopefully with Aerith in the Life stream. It was the best he could hope for.
âThat child died. You stole its life away like it never mattered.â
  The child was him it was always him if he only understood what she did. The soldier glared at him and shook her head as she moved away from him. He wasnât gonna change her mind on what she knew. That was her son and she knew it. She quickly moved towards him as she stop just inches away from getting to close to him. âHe is my son! It was him the whole time for crying out loud Cloud. I freed him that is it!â She told him. She felt like she was losing it trying to explain how she was right and no matter how much she tried it didnât seem right. The blonde moved back a little as she looked up at the sky took a deep breath , she was a fighting an endless battle of people not understanding. She wanted nothing more then make things different but she couldnât go back now.

Cloud just stared at her for a moment, his face neutral even if his eyes betrayed his emotions. But slow, he let out a breath and stared down to the dirt below.
âI know.â
It was all he said at first because it was the truth. He wasnât ignorant to the history of his adversary.
âI know everything they did but that doesnât make it okay for him to take that out on the world. They ruined my life too but I didnât try to burn the world for it.â He said softly, looking back up at her.
  All she could do was look at him at first she felt like maybe Sephiroth was taking to far about destroying the world . But she honestly felt like there was no other way to fix this. Deep down she didnât want it to be fixed. She brought back someone she adored and care for. He was someone special to her heart. She felt bad on how she did it but she could not change what was to come for them all.Â
âYou maybe right and there is no in talking him out of it but I am neither gonna stop him Cloud.â She said lightly. â I canât âŚI worked to hard to get him back and I am not gonna lose him again.â She said softly . What would Zack think of what she was saying? She didnât want to know her heart actually ached thinking about it.
âIs he the only one who ever mattered to you?â
His voice was still calm but there was bitterness to it now.
âYou could have stayed with meâŚwe had a family there with Zack back and everyone else. Sephiroth canât fit into that picture. WhyâŚ.â
His words trailed of because he knew it didnât matter. No amount of words or questions was going to make things different. Athena made her choice. Now she was an enemy just as much as Sephiroth was.
