"So, uh," he said, covering his confused expression by turning his head back around and taking a few more steps deeper into the cave. "Had anything crazy happen to you lately?"

"Could kinda use a break…"

He pondered for a second, his tail thumping against the ground a few times. "Hmm, maybe," he told Nachtmon, "You could visit the desert as a break." Flamon grinned. He trusted Nachtmon enough to behave if he visited, with or without Geopardmon with him.

"Really?" Flamon looks himself over. He didn’t think he looked that cool. He glanced back up to get a better look at the newcomer. "Wait a sec," he said, leaning in towards the boy and squinting his eyes. "You seem kinda familiar…" The feeling of recognition was in him, but Flamon couldn’t place the boy’s face. Weird.

"So, have you met any other Legendary Warriors or am I the first?" 

He chuckled slightly. “I didn’t think I’d even meet one of you humans, much less two.” The digimon moved his hand back down from his head and crossed his arms casually. “So what brings you to the Digital World?”

"Hmm, oh I pop in every now and then and I go on adventures and that sort of stuff. No major reason."

He lifted one eyebrow curiously at Tomoki. "Have you found any adventures recently?" He was always up for a good adventure.

I’m joking, Fleccy. It’s good to see you! And a pleasant conversation is exactly what I’m looking for. The people back in the desert aren’t always chatty. So, how have you been?

As for breaks… Well luckily there have not been many.

We're all pretty lucky in that respect, I guess. Though less breaks do mean less action to be had.

Just stopping in for a visit. Hey, I’m not entirely alone out there. It just gets too quiet sometimes.

Some say silence is golden, but the need of noise is understandable. So! What doth thee need? A pleasant conversation, perhaps?

The digimon then grew more serious. “Hmm,” he mused, calculating the distance between from where they were and where the border was. “If you think you’ll be okay, then-” he paused at the boy’s second statement. “Take me…?” Flamon tilted his head to the side slightly, looking confused. “What? How? I mean if you want to, sure, but… Wha?” He was thrown off guard, confusion making him stumble over his thoughts. He knew digivices could digivolve partner digimon, but that was the extent of his knowledge. He had no idea what Kouichi was referring to.

All the digimon could choke out was a breathless "Whoaaaa..." He could feel both hope and fear fill his core as he looked on at the warrior of legend. The sight suddenly sparked his determination, and Flamon's mouth snapped shut as the digimon leaped up from his place on the ground. "Heck yeah!" he cried, jumping enthusiastically onto the beast's back with one huge leap. "This is awesome!"

"Really?" Flamon looks himself over. He didn’t think he looked that cool. He glanced back up to get a better look at the newcomer. Flamon looked curiously at the safe guards of Geopardmon’s home when the duo arrived at it. He figured it made sense to protect the place, but what was around to attack it? He hadn’t seen a single digimon until Nachtmon showed up. Flamon jumped in surprise as Nachtmon swiftly took out the safe guard. He swallowed his surprise roughly, calming himself down again. “Right,” he said. “Sure.” Flamon began to enter his friend’s house, but looked back at Nachtmon only after taking a couple of steps inside. “Are you coming in too?” he asked the ‘mon.

"We haven’t had any in a while, but we had a few for a while there…"

He brightened up at the mention of the two dark digimon. “Yeah! They’re my friends.” He smiled cheerfully, thinking about the two ‘mons. “We’re reborn Spirits. If that makes any sense.” He chuckled sheepishly. “Do you know them?”

My name is Tomoki Himi and I am the Legendary Warrior of Ice.”

"Nice to meet you, Tomoki," the digimon said cheerfully. "I'm Flamon! In case you didn't know that already." Flamon chuckled before stopping in shock as he realized exactly what Tomoki had said. "Wait, you're a Legendary Warrior?" He grew excited. Meeting a second warrior of legend was something he didn't think would happen to him, well, ever. "Cooool."

"Stay in line?" Flamon repeated, letting out a short laugh. "I guess that’s kinda true." Smiling good-naturally, Flamon turned to where he had felt the disturbance. "The newcomer is definitely somewhere in that direction," he said to Kouichi, speaking over his shoulder. "But they’re close to the border, which is quite a ways away." He turned back around to face the boy, a more thoughtful look on his face. "Hmm." He looked Kouichi over. "It’s probably best if I just piggyback you over there, really. It’ll be quicker. If that’s okay with you, of course."

"Or, if it’s too important, just go and I’ll catch up! My D-tector can find you - " He pulled the digivice out with a sudden idea. "Or, maybe I can take you over there!"

He nodded in agreement to the bird’s request. “That’d be good,” he said. “I can wait for Geopardmon there. If that’s okay,” he added. He almost punched himself for the timid comment. The adrenalin rush had made him cautious. It’s not like Nachtmon would attack him just for being assertive. He hoped.

"Geopardmon will know we’re here now at least…" Nacht said showing Flamon to the entrance, "After you."
