(I’m actually really torn if I should raise Tomoki’s age to 11 or keep it at 10. Technically his birthday was on September 23rd, but I’m just unsure if I want to have him age in accordance with the blog)

“Right, let’s see if I’ve still got this…” Trying to find something to ‘attack’, Lucas found a lone bush. Perfect, only a relatively weak attack would suffice and he thought of the perfect target. Focusing his mental power into his fingertips, he moved his hands, palms close and facing each other, to one side of his body… Lucas tried PK Fire α! …And then quickly pointed them outwards in front of him, his fingertips aiming at the bush. A small bolt of fire emitted from his hands, speeding towards its target. Once it impacted, the bolt exploded into a small bolt of fire, setting the bush ablaze.

Tomoki took a step to the side, giving Lucas plenty of room as he prepared to use his psi attack.

In amazement, Tomoki saw Lucas shoot a bolt of fire from his hand at the bush opposite of him. As the bush ignited in flames, Tomoki gave a cheer from how cool the attack was.

“Wow, that was so cool.” Tomoki exclaimed in a chipper voice. “Do you have any other psi attacks?”

Rubbing the back of his head, Lucas giggled at Tomoki’s excitement.

“I mostly knew healing and support PSI with only one powerful attack but not too long ago I learnt PK Fire, PK Freeze and Thunder.” Speaking of Freeze, that might be handy for putting out this fire; perhaps the young boy next to him could relate to that a bit more.

Lucas tried PK Freeze α!

And just like that, he created a small cloud of cold air above his head which arced towards the inside of the burning bush and burst outwards, freezing it solid.

Tomoki again watched in amazement as Lucas froze the fire in front of them with little effort.

“That’s amazing! The only way I can do that is through spirit evolution. It’s pretty awesome how you are able to do it automatically.” Tomoki pondered for a moment. “So, how does Psi attacks work though. Is it through the energy in your body, or is it magic that you are able to produce?”

“Well… I was just curious. Just decided to ask.” He answered nervously. He wanted to ask if there was any way he could Spirit Evolve himself, but was far too nervous.

“Hmm…” Tomoki hummed as he heard the nervousness in Billy’s voice.

“Alright.” he replied. “But you sound kinda off, is everything alright?”

“Oh no, no. Everything’s fine, Tomoki. Nothing to be worried about…” He tried to get rid of the nervousness in his voice, placing his hands behind himself.

“Ok, well if you are sure… what have you been up to?” Tomoki replied. Tomoki still couldn’t help noticing the nervousness in Billy’s voice, but he knew that if Billy had something on his mind, he would tell him.

“Oh, the usual stuff. Egg-hatching, squashing crows, you name it.” He explained. He still had that nervousness, and a question he was scared to ask.
