Quietly Restless

It’s a little strange finding a cool blog on here and then realizing the user hasn’t posted in 7 years— feels a bit like a digital ghost town on this app sometimes.

I’d forgotten how many Christian/religious blogs I’d followed on here. While deleting them, a suggested (religious) post often comes up and I realize it’s what my internal monologue has been since childhood. It’s no wonder I grew up hating myself. Much of the final years of my twenties was spent extracting the mental filth I’d been taught and learning to love and accept myself instead. I’m glad I walked away from that community and found the peace I’d been searching for within myself.

logging back in after so many years feels like unearthing a digital time capsule. Several moves to different states, marriage, one child, divorce, one career change later- I’m going back and tracing the lines back to things that felt good.
