Please, he is not an ordinary bard. Unlike most bards who follow Xipe, Truth was one of Nous' followers before he became a bard to grace us with enlightenment, I'm sure his insight will be of immense help to you.
If not you can go talk to his companion, Fortuna. He is always around whenever Truth is performing. He is an expert when it comes to intels, if something strange happens he is always the first to know. Ha, I bet he's already know you're looking for him.
Though the prices for his intels are quite something...Alternatively, you can get it for free if you win a coin toss against him.
Oh and don't let his appearance scare you.
DnD AU stuff! Haha, I had quite a lot of fun thinking about their design...I even got to fulfill my life long dream of drawing Veritas with long hair, he is so pretty...
Ballad of Truth is Veritas' stage name, most of his songs hide knowledge he wished to impart. He used to be a follower of Nous but eventually found his own way instead. I really wanted to make his status as the Galactic Voyager in CW more prominent in this AU. So now he is a traveling bard that imparts knowledge through his songs.
Fortuna is still called Kakavasha in this AU since the equivalent of the IPC in this AU doesn't exist. I couldn't find a way to stuff them in unfortunately...Though, Kakavasha still wished to keep his real name a secret, as it is very precious to him. (For now Veritas doesn't know his real name yet) Aside from the IPC, most of Kakavasha backstory is kept.
Here is some fun facts about them!
Fortuna doesn't show his real face to anyone aside from Veritas and a few people he is close with (Eve and Jelena) the stigma against the Avgin is more prominent in this AU.
The last time he accidentally showed his face, the guy that yelled at him got hit by too many casting of Vicious Mockery by Veritas.
Fortuna is Rogue/Cleric, but the Rogue is more prominent in his design. You'll have to squint real hard to spot the Cleric part. This is due to Kakavasha's complicated relationship with Giathra Cyclops. He is favored by her, instead of being a devout follower. Few people know of Giathra Cyclops as the main system of worshipping in this AU is still the Aeonic system.
Fortuna hides 3 blades on him, one up his left sleeve, one on his thigh, and the last one on his feet.
Fortuna sells intels, from treasure rumors to gossips about the nobles, he knows them all. You can get it if you offer the right price, or get it for free if you win a coin toss against him (good luck with that lmao)
Both Veritas and Fortuna can heal, though Fortuna always insists on treating Veritas first.
Sometimes, when Fortuna can't sleep due to his nightmares, Veritas would sing for him.
This AU was a BLAST to make, maybe I'll have more ideas sometime in the future hehe.
