look, i abhor police brutality against workers and students, though i do believe the latter comprised the bulk of yesterday's protests, but i would like to point out that these protests that are ostensibly being held under the aegis of, or at least being monopolised by, the cockroach janata party (one that has barefacedly announced itself as 'apolitical' and upholds the UAPA in their manifesto, fucking egregious) is to demand the resignation of the education minister in the wake of the mishandling of the NEET and the tragedies that followed. it is intended solely for the instigation of liberal reforms within education to uphold the merit based and casteist system that already exists, nothing more, nothing less.
the ideology (though i don't believe every protestor subscribes to it) is merely one that privileges the already privileged; government medical colleges are 'affordable' i.e. the annual fees is about 10,000 rupees at their lowest, not counting living expenses, while private medical college fees skyrocket into the lakhs, the field is highly competitive, and india is quite possibly a country with one of the worst healthcare systems in the world, and it has been so for a little over forty years, as neoliberalisation has gradually worked toward the privatisation of both education and healthcare. without addressing the roots of the problem (which many student and civil society organisations have been doing for a long time, while being sidelined and ignored: see NEP protests 2019-2020) these protests will mean nothing.

this guy at work is pmo not only he's late and i have to bug him for deadlines, he acts as if he's doing me a favour as opposed to his job...and he conveniently gets himself out of work and has ideas and criticisms only zero execution...itne buddhimaan ho genius ho toh do it yourself pathetic man
Oh my God... that moment still haunts me to this day. I was sitting beside my husband Ahmed in the hospital bed, holding his hand and praying to God to ease his pain, when suddenly he lost consciousness right before my eyes. I completely broke down, crying and begging God to save him.
I cry every day from the weight of this heartbreak. I stand beside my husband with nothing but prayer, watching his pain and feeling my heart shatter because I cannot do more to save him. I try to stay strong for my little girl, but there are moments when I weaken as I imagine her life without her father. All I want is a chance to save Ahmed, a chance for him to remain a father to our daughter and a husband to me, and for us to see a better day after all this pain.
The doctor told me that Ahmed’s condition is critical, that the cancer is spreading rapidly through his body, and that his only hope for treatment is to get him out of Gaza as soon as possible to receive urgent medical care. Since that moment, I have been living in constant fear, terrified that I may lose my husband at any moment.
Getting Ahmed out of Gaza for treatment is extremely costly, and we need to raise more than $25,000 to cover the urgent medical expenses and give him the chance he desperately needs. Every moment matters, and we are racing against time to save his life.
Our little daughter cries every day, calling for her father. She does not understand what cancer means, but she feels his pain and clings to him with all her strength. All she wants is for her father to stay by her side, and for this war and this illness not to take him away from her.
As for me, I am suffering from severe malnutrition because of the famine and the war. My body has become weak, but I keep holding myself together in front of my daughter so she does not feel the full extent of the pain we carry inside.
I say this from the depths of my heart: I will never forget everyone who read my words, saw my family’s suffering, and chose to turn away without even sharing our story. A simple share may help our voice reach someone who can save Ahmed’s life.
You are our only hope. Every donation, no matter how small, and every share could be the reason our story reaches someone able to help us.
Please, do not leave us alone. Ahmed’s life is in your hands. Help us reach our goal as quickly as possible and save Ahmed before it is too late. Give our little daughter the chance to keep her father by her side.

I don't know what you're waiting for.
My husband, Ahmed, is fighting this cruel illness every single day. I swear I cry every night as I watch him suffer, while I hold our little daughter in my arms. She reaches for her father's hand, waiting for him to get better and play with her like he used to. It breaks my heart because I don't know what to tell her.
Please, I am begging you،،don't let us face this alone.
The doctor has told me that Ahmed urgently needs treatment that costs $2,500. We cannot afford it, and every moment we wait puts his life at greater risk.
If you are able, please donate today. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to getting Ahmed the treatment he desperately needs.
You are our only hope. We have no one else to turn to except your kindness and support.
Please don't leave us alone in this fight. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Power to the students! A commendable turnout and show of strength and courage against a completely spineless state and their cowardly body of uniformed criminals. It is easy to feel disabled by helplessness because of the complete failure of this government, stay strong.
Educate, Agitate, Organize! Always!
I write these words with a broken heart. To those who read this and choose to ignore it, you can simply scroll past, but I am living through the most difficult moments of my life. My husband is slowly dying before my eyes. Due to a severe head and jaw injury, he has been unable to eat or drink for over a week, his weight has dropped to just 39 kilograms, and he is suffering from severe, life-threatening malnutrition.
The doctors confirmed he needs urgent surgery, but we can't afford the operation and treatment. I feel helpless watching him weaken day by day, while time is running out.💔

I'm not asking for the impossible; I'm simply asking for a chance to save his life. Please, if you can't donate, don't hesitate to share our story. It might reach someone who can give him a new lease on life.💔🙏
This campaign is vetted and currently at $3,115/$10,000.
Please help if you can.

Please donate now. Your support could save his life.
Please donate to their campaign if it’s possible and share !!
Please, I am in urgent need of a donation right now.
$4,454 raised out of the $10,000 goal as for now! Please, help however you can!!!
Hashem’s condition is deteriorating, and we cannot face this alone. Every second counts now, as his health worsens without treatment. Please, do not ignore him; your support is his only chance to survive this nightmare.
They’ve barricaded all of central Delhi and jammed the internet. They forcefully took Sonam Wangchuk (who was on a hunger strike) to a hospital and have detained him. Things are getting worse, I hope everyone stays safe.
They’re throwing tear gas into a crowd full of kids and beating them up with sticks. There’s jeeps full of policemen standing around with guns. Again, majority of the protesters are students- kids and their parents.

one thing i wanna say though is data centers being built in rural areas is environmental racism + classism so when i see ppl bitching about locals bitching about data centers im like oh it’s literally because it’s not your backyard being demolished and your air not being polluted and your waterways not being ran dry and your soundscapes not being raised to unhealthy decibels ….
