I've been thinking about this for a while now. I want to draw myself in different AUs, but I'm not sure which ones to choose yet (I'm already in some, of course, but I still want to come up with something more detailed)

I love this concept and I am totally in the same boat and would rather be perceived as an abstract concept than a person at this moment in my life lol.

i think as a concept I’d be analog horror, speficially Doctor Nowhere’s, or those pastel artworks with swirly lines and unblended lineart

like. the smell of smoke late at night, you’ve just lit the candle and shaken out the match. or the wind soughing through the tops of the tallest gum trees, bending them gently back and forth, surprisingly supply for such strong plants. or the dark, sticky, dusty first bite of apple after hours of work in the sun and the dirt, when you’re thirsty and hungry and it’s the best thing you’ve ever tasted.

Ah, I think “rotting” concrete (and brick) of old industrial or military buildings, hidden beneath, or in the middle of a pine lumber forest, covered by podzol… The rightful profanation of what represents the vile, and yet doesnt have any agenda on its own. I do tend to daydream about scenarios where the society collapses, but survival isnt a concern, and any building can be turned into a home. Cold concrete adorned with rugs…

I feel like I’d be a sketch, it is far from finished, it has a long way to go, but it is meant to be that way, there will be mishaps in the rendering, lining, coloring but that’s the whole point of it. It is messy but that’s the point.

hmm, i’m probably the mushrooms and shrubs and leaves and rot on a forest floor. overshadowed by the trees, small and hidden, but still important to the ecosystem :3

lowk the concept of abstractness itself. the Thing that you can see but never really see because it changes each time you see it or remember it. you can’t touch it but you can hold it. or like.. whatever specific image comes to someone’s head when they think about nighttime

The concept of a mask. A collection of masks in a box, ready to be switched out when the time comes. You carefully crafted each one to perfection. Anonymous in that they obscure the face but personal in that you created them, they hold a piece of you. A barricade between you and the outside world but a symbol of who you are. Not a lie but a curated truth. An item to represent the swirling, changing, unknowable mess that is identity.

my immediate answer is hope; i feel like i am made entirely of hope. though after the events of last night, i feel like i would be that moment of overwhelming joy and relief and adrenaline when you’re rushing to set a stage in time and something’s been messed up but SOMEHOW you get it done in time and run off as the curtains are opening and just silently scream at whoever else is backstage like oh my god we fucking did it thank god
