The Finn and Jannah Adventures

The fandom loves to mock “The dead speak!”, the first sentence of The Rise of Skywalker’s text crawl, but when you look deeper, it’s really a pattern within the story: We have Palpatine returning from the dead, Ben Solo speaking to the memory of his dead father, Rey being taught a lesson by a dead mentor and finally, at the climax of the film…

Rey being able to listen to the voices of dead Jedi like we’ve seen her trying during her training at her very first scene in the film. 

Introducing THE FINN AND JANNAH ADVENTURES by Jake (you can find me on twitter at AdventuresFinn and TheBearded_Jake). this will be a four issue limited series. completely non-profit. hand drawn by me and to be released issue by issue (not page by page) on this blog. the comic series will be subtitled: THE JEDI PATH.

These four issues follow FINN and JANNAH after the closing events of the Skywalker Saga as they find their way in a galaxy of uncertain peace. Both have the potential to be Jedi, but if they are going to feel comfortable with their new responsibilities under the tutelage of REY SKYWALKER they must first face their dark pasts, with the help of a respectable rebel war hero: LANDO CALRISSIAN. A masked stranger hunts the trio on their path, he is strong in the force, and calls himself JAAI REN. A familiar face hides behind his mask. A face from the very same distant past Finn and Jannah are working to uncover. And when they see it, Finn and Jannah will learn to fear him, and the tireless might of Jaai Ren’s powerful ally: ALLEGIANT GENERAL RANDEN, self-titled Avenger of Exegol!

In TLJ, Rey goes to the mirror cave and says she thought she would find answers on the island, but she was wrong. Yes, she was wrong. Do you know why?

  Because she looked in the wrong cave.

  Earlier in the film, she is called to another one: The Jedi library, that contains the Jedi texts. 

In TROS, we know that these texts contain informations about the Sith wayfinders and Exegol, where Palpatine, Rey’s only blood relative, is.

  In conclusion, the Jedi cave was actually leading her to the true answers, while the mirror cave was leading her to nothing.
