It’s not always the healer’s fault if someone dies in party.

While the damages of the monsters was insanely increased, the healing power remains the same as before. You cannot run HW dungeons like you would run WP in your i130 gear. While you were taking less than 300 damages / hit on lv50 dungeons, you now can take over 1k / hit while the healer will heal you exactly the same amount as before. Deal with it and adapt to it.

Having to heal more means that the healer’s MP will run out faster. So you might have to sing if you’re a BRD or to use one of your turret if you’re a MCH. It’s normal.

At lv60, the raise cost over 2600 MP aka between 20% and 25% of the healer MP. So do yourself and the healer a favor : Avoid to die when it’s possible and raise the dead people if you’re playing SMN.

It’s the Tank responsibility to check the party member’s gear to adapt the pulls and their gameplay to it. It’s not because you’re full geared as tank that the packs will die faster or you will be easier to heal : If the DPS aren’t geared, the packs might last too long rendering impossible the heal because of some MP problem ; if the healer isn’t geared, the healing power will be low and thus it will be impossible for them to heal the insane damages the tank will take.

The healer has a GCD, like you guys do. If more than one member takes some damages or a debuff, the healer will have to make a decision on who to heal first and his primary choice will probably be the tank.

The healer isn’t responsible if one of the party members take some AOE. There are some circles on the floor, there are mechanics that can be easily avoided and there are skills that can be stuned / silenced. Do it. Don’t expect the healer to heal / Cleanse you just because you’re lazy.

Everybody has to follow the mechanics. Not avoiding some AOE because you’re casting something, because there is 5% life left on that add or because you’re just too lazy to move is a bad calculation. Delaying a skill of 3 seconds will always worth more than dealing -15% or -30% damages for over a minute.

The healer cannot press the keys for you thus, the healer cannot use your CDs. Every single class has access to some defensive and / or healing CDs, their reuse isn’t 30mn each. While it happens to make a mistake, it’s your responsibility to correct the said mistake by helping the healers rather than complaining about them not healing you ASAP. Same goes for tanks : Use your CDs, they aren’t in your hotbar to be pretty and even if you’re not taking an insane amount of damages, it will help the healer either to regen their MP either to DPS with the rest of the party.

Before equipping your STR jewels and dropping your tanking stance, think of the damages you will take. You’re in group for tanking, not for DPSing, if you want to DPS, play a DPS. Tanking isn’t only about being able to keep the aggro, it’s about damage mitigation. If you’re taking 9k damages on a special attack while you have 11K HP followed by an auto attack which almost kill you, it’s not OK and it’s not the healer’s fault if you die and the party wipe.

Everybody is responsible of their own actions in party and everybody can wipe the party, even the DPS. If you don’t want any responsibility : Play solo or crafter / gatherer, but as soon as you hit the DF / PF to join a party, you have to adapt and not to play solo with 3 / 7 other people.

Meeting a bad AST doesn’t mean that AST is a shitty healing class. It only mean that the people are still learning the class and you cannot compare 2 years of experience on WHM / SCH vs 3 weeks of experience as AST. At the same time YOU have to adapt to the sort of healer you meet and thus you have to LEARN how to play with an AST in party.
