These guys are so hard to beat.

This conversation between the Turks as they debate whether to follow orders or just give up now that the power structure has disintegrated, is great. So often, video game baddies just keep attacking you even when their cause is hopeless. The fact that they all decide not to fight, and leave one by one, adds believability and depth.

Why are Hojo’s minions called “Bad Rap Sample” and... “Poodler Sample”? What is a “Poodler”?

You know when a video game tells you to go in one direction, because that’s where the plot is? I always go in the other direction, because that’s where the secrets are! 

Is that a Star Wars reference?

The graphics are at their best when rendering the industrial dystopia of Midgar.
