While I've always held a certain amount of love for Mortal Kombat as a kid, my rediscovery of it as an adult was circumstance. And my love for Kung Lao was completely accidental, formed on a whim from a glance of him in a fic he was barely included in. My attention turned from Johnny to him. Very strong love. Super curious about every drop of information I could get on the guy. But the more I learn 😭😭😭 the more I gotta witness his unrelenting disrespect 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧 The creators hate him and I can't understand why??? From being sideswiped by Liu Kang on a journey that should belong to him, having his neck snapped in front of everyone with no one giving him warning??? Thrown into the blood sea doomed to sink forever in it's bottomless pit as an inflated corpse, assuming that nothing eats him first, dying off camera alone and unimportant, killed by HIS OWN weapon and brutally sliced in half in front of Liu Kang and Raiden only for the latter to say he should be proud of his warrior's death!!! Liu Kang was only as perturbed as he was at the end because his mentor got murked by Shao Kahn!!! Where are his tears for his best friend??? I don't get it I really don't. They're probably going to kill MK1 Kung Lao in a terrible way and he's either going to go out sad with nobody grieving him too strongly or his death will serve as motivation for someone greater to defeat his murderer. My boy 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I didn't choose to love him because he's niche or just not generally super popular,,, or 'cause he's hated by a good portion of MK fans, I just genuinely love the guy but there's nothing for him 😭😭😭 He's just doomed to go out sad 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🤧🤧🤧 killing myself

I have a nefound respect for the 21 & 26 live action movies despite how terrible they are. They treat my goat like a god. To me he is 😭😭😭😭 My king 😭😭😭😭😭😭 He will always be perfect to me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

MK21 Liu Kang, Kung Jin, and Bo Rai Cho will always have my deepest respect for simply favoring Kung Lao with a passion. It's not fair ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Kung Lao is only my second favorite character btw,,, but do you see why I have to defend him so vigorously??? He never had a chance

Oh yeah they've been literally horrible to him in every piece of MK media for like fifteen years, if he exists at all. It's exhausting if you like him even a little bit, let alone regularly play as him and have to listen to every single character shit on him in every fight intro.

I'm considering writing my own dark au DonPad fic,,, a fic of a fic,,,, dark and scraggly Launchpad,, big guy who's always smiling even while he's angry, super fake guy who has the liberty to treat powerful people however he wants because he knows he's stronger than them,,, keeping a lousy job as Scrooge's limo driver even though it eats through his free time and is more often than not more trouble than it's worth,,,,, just for the chance to see a vulnerable Donald locked somewhere deep in the mansion from time to time. I think that's a great idea. But the fic writer who is establishing this setting seems to be directing it more toward a drakepad path,,, which I am not a fan of. A real shame

I like when Bugs is actually arrogant and doesn't play well with others, at least on a personal level

It's not as fun for me when Bugs' and Daffy's rivalry is so one sided to the point where it seems like Daffy is a jealous has been who's trying to one up an obliviously innocent Bugs who is portrayed purely as a victim of success

That's my Mom's view of him at least lol

2011 Looney Tunes Show Bugs is soooo far away from the Bugs who I personally grew up with like I remember him showing off his mansion and bragging about dedicated fans while basking by his pool so it's hard for me to imagine him as a character who gets fed up with Daffy's zany & prideful attitude as if anything he dishes out against him isn't something he could whole heartedly match

I know that these characters change with every writer I just think it's a shame that this version of Bugs doesn't show up more in art or fics

Alsoooo, Daffy casually being in his house during his interview cannot be overlooked they spend an insane amount of time together

And look at how little Bugs is willing to share his spotlight loooollllllll
